ultraportable is a very loose term used by manufacturers.
generally speaking, it's < 4 lbs, and < 1.5 in. thick.
priority is usually triggered by whoever is within a 2 feet radius of the car handle, therefore whoever gets to the handle to unlock the car will be given priority.
(this is assuming the husband and wife don't both go for the driver door and sit in the driver seat together.)

"I'm in the market for a new phone and money isn't a limitation. I'm also not partial to any particular US carrier, but here are some of the features I'd like to have: WiFi, GPS, good coverage in lots of places, push Gmail (a must!), physical keyboard (a must!), a touchscreen, decent battery life and a relatively slim body. And please, nothing that has a fruit logo on it. No offense to the fruit fans, though. Thanks!"
