How bout this? Give them all the money they need on the condition each of their CEO's are fired. Oh and get rid of the Unions as well.

Are Democrats against unions?
I agree. For a long time the auto industry, which engulfs many other industries was the bread and butter of America. Don't forget WWII. Sure it's taken a bad direction but we have to remember it's not just cars were talking about it's manufacturing and industry. If we totally give up on that the rest of the world will instantly drop America's stock. We gotta get it back on track. Face it humans will always need mechanical "goods". Be it a transportation vehicle, construction vehicle, appliance, generator, whatever. Let's get these Big 3(or 2) back on track and being smarter than Honda and Toyota. Why can't America be smarter than Honda or Toyota? Unions? Well get rid of em. Done. Now focus on building sweet stuff the world wants.

Pointy cornered devices aren't a good design for cell phones... Maybe nice to look at but not nice to pocket/handle all day... I have Diamond and dislike the design over the original Touch.
My whole point is the stand alone .swf player. And yes that was M$ fault not Flash so why bash Flash? And yes obviously you can use bitmaps in your flash movies and make them resource hungry. I can also encode a video up to 10mbps. Should we then ban video players as well because they won't play it?

"it has everything to do with the bandwidth and data those ads take up on a mobile platform where it matters"

bandwith and data? What are you talking about? You can't comprehend the option button in your browser to disable it or NOT visit those sites? Like in Firefox... Where else would bandwith and data be an issue? You can't control where you browse on the internet? People can still make proc and bandwith and memory intensive web apps for the iPhone without flash you know... If any website wants visitors it's not going to make a flash based anything that would jeopardize getting visitors...

Sorry if I sound like I'm arguing here I just didn't like negative approach toward Flash when the benefits IMHO totally outweigh any negatives. Cars can cause accidents should we not have them?

Bottom line vector animation is a necessity for media portals like.........the internet. How else are you going to do it? Shockwave? Same thing. Silverlight? Same thing. Flash is embedded and has a great following and it works great.
I'm on the side that using a real pic is OK and not dooshy. I don't use a real pic but I got nothing against it. Why would I? I think someone here has a bad case of the "Mondays"...

BTW I can't even change my pic for some reason. So is no pic better than any pic or the other way around?
So this is a WIMAX and GSM phone? Huh? Why? Do all WIMAX providers also have a GSM network? Who the hell is this for anyway? Russia? WTF? I'm confused.
Quite possibly this could happen. Price grabber is your friend. But I think there will always be a brick and morter for the sake that people do like to experience these items in person before purchasing. Honestly I use BB or CC as a sample ground before I buy online somtimes. But crazy enough BB and CC's prices are sometimes low enough w/o shipping costs and the benefit of an instant on site exchange/return or purchase it's worth it.
Please explain. So they can profit from Blackberry? Or so they can slap WinMo on qwertybar devices(already done).

What they really need to do in order to shift the tide in their favor is sell a WinMo Pro device unlocked new for 199$ or less.
Even if they were invisible you'd have to charge it and try not to lose or break it...
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"With all the new multitouch capable monitors coming out, which one is the best? With the release of Windows 7 I really want a touchscreen monitor for my desktop. I'm looking to get a Full HD monitor that supports multitouch and can still look great during gaming and movies. Which one has the best specs for the price?"
