Ugh, really?
Then, wouldn't it be possible to combine Business and Ultimate, and then just have one Home version for users that don't need to bind to servers?
Having two versions would make things very clear to consumers: Home version is for regular people, Ultimate is for business/power users.
Blarg.
I'm using Vista Home Premium right now, but I've played with Basic and I don't really see a difference.

For those who know, what's the difference between Home and Ultimate? And why is Business so special? All the business people I know just need specialized accounting software that runs just fine on my Home computer.
Really?
I wouldn't have guessed.
I wish I were a hardcoar developer, so I could justify buying a MSDN subscription.
I wish I weren't a coward, so I could torrent the beta and try it for free.
:(
I suppose I'll just have to wait and buy Se7en when it's finally released.
Only two questions remain, though:
Desktop or laptop?
Touch screen or regular screen?
1. No self-respecting girl of legal age would ever "cyber."
2. If they did, they'd be geeks. Who are pale and pasty.
Psh.
Yeah, right.
That kid needs a lobotomy like he needs a hole in his--
Oh, wait...
Use a tissue, not your expensive gloves.
@Mark
Your accidental comment actually made sense in that context.
At least you've got that going for you.
Like any computer or other device with a fan in it, the PS3 gets pretty loud if it doesn't have enough ventilation.

Although, that may just be because I have a 60GB version with hardware that is now starting to break.
Regardless, if this new Xbox is better (more reliable) than the old, I think I might get one.
They would have used an iPhone, but they didn't want another flame war starting up.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I commonly need to boot a system from an external disc and take a snapshot of the host system. I also then need to burn a copy of the image to a DVD. While I can do it with two separate external devices, and two power supplies, and two I/O cables, it'd be nice to find a small dual-drive enclosure. It would need to have USB, eSATA, and FireWire. Either slim-line or half-height bay for the optical burner would be fine, and space for either a 2.5- or 3.5-inch hard disc. Any ideas?"
