Careful - looking at the website, only the 32 and 64 gig touches have the 3gs chipset - NOT the 8GB.
99% of my regular web stops have flash or flash video in their reporting (like here, for example).

iphone needs flash...badly
I R IN UR COMMENTS WINNIN UR BETA SHIRTZ
This story is going round and round and round and STILL Makro doesn't include VAT in it's prices - making it £235 ish vs £280. Still a good saving, but not what's being reported.
Lovely.....stand it upright on the left side of a desk and get nothing but a face full of ventilation ports and rubber feet.....stylish. Maybe your friends can admire the securty screws eh?
Already out in UK (branded by dodgy singer p!nk) - saw one in a display case in Currys, Newcastle today.
Who needs a downloadable demo?

I've just played 8 player gears in a darkened room for 20 mins at the xbox 360 roadshow UK (metrocentre, gateshead, reserve a timeslot and return later) and it's astounding in looks and play - the shakey "cameraman following me" camera is very disorientating for the first 30 seconds and very impressive, then the action is so natural - though I would speculate that some might not like the "lock-on" cover play.

If you're in the UK and the tour passes you before 17th Nov (emergence day here) get yourself there for a few games.
What's the point these days, when they insist on forcing you through an interactive tutorial where the first level used to be (conveniently adding 30 mins to what they can claim for average gameplay hours)?

I wandered into HMV Newcastle (UK) at 10am on the day they started taking pre-orders and walked out 1st in the queue. Seems strange that the US is having such a fuss over pre-orders when it might be expected that a PS3-less UK would have more Wii demand.
lenticular lens.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I own an iPhone 3G and I'm looking for a decent speaker / alarm clock for it. I am going to listen music in a mid-sized room, so I want nice quality speakers with solid bass. I also want to use it as an alarm clock, so it would be great if there is such a feature. The price can be low-mid to mid-high range. I was looking at the Klipsch iGroove SXT; it's powerful, slick and the reviews are good, but it doesn't have an alarm clock feature. It's no deal breaker if I can set it up from the iPhone, but I'm not sure. Thanks!"
