So unfair, I received my Pro 2 earlier this week and now I'm so envious of those getting this new version with 3.5mm
No, what Apple should have done is make it a two piece design, their special buttoned controller attaches to the special 3.5mm hole on the player then the controller has another 3.5mm hole for earphones. Or they could have attached the buttons by some proprietary interface then and charged companies for access to that leaving the earphones out of the equation. My 10 year old cd player has this.
I too wish they would make more! This video provokes my envy!
Only thing I can think to gripe about is software registration reminders. The software I got with my lg blu ray player asks for registration at windows start up and every time I load power dvd - I registered with vista but now I'm using 7beta theres no way to disable the pop up so it doesnt bother me again unless I register again. Who's idea was this?!
I hope they roll this out to other locales too, we're probably the last of the upgrade list being in Dundee, Scotland but I have skipped on going to Subway a few times because the queue is too big.
I cant wait till these types of installations start spreading all over, Minority Report here we come!
I bid a mint and a lollipop!
Information central:

Grammar nazi much? This is the internet, you should be used to people not being grammatically correct. Or you should get used to it, its never going to change.
One thing that irked me about the Gadget Show review of the multimedia players was when they took the spinn out doors - instead of being out doors with it originally like with the touch the radio presenter (forgot his name) took it outdoors for 5 secs and goes "oh yeah thats really poor quality" and took it back in. I generally like the gadget show but they were clearly biased towards the touch.
You should have seen the beta version, it was just a guy under a table dragging a magnet back and forth!
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm looking for a pair of quality headphones that aren't seemingly made of glass. I'm an avid BMXer which causes me to frequently bash on any type of technology that joins me for my daily riding. I've been through the higher quality headsets in the Skullcandy line as these are supposed to be built for "abuse," which is laughable. I cant wear earbuds or canal buds, as my large ears seem to have a repelling property upon anything that sits in them. Wired or Bluetooth doesn't really matter, but I need something that can hold up to taking a few hits every now and again. I'm trying to keep 'em under $150. Thanks!"
