@Jon,
Except for those of us who care about quality. If/when digital downloads match the quality of HD optical media, then I will agree with you. Not everything in life is about convenience.
Seriously? Yeah they haven't released the SDK yet, but they let slip their source code to get "free" development.
I tell you what, some people need to crawl out of their holes.
Really? Video chat would kill all competition? Really?!
Why do you fanatics continue to claim that whatever Apple does will kill all competition?
I personally could care less about this feature. If I were to ever buy an iPhone it would not be for video chat.

BTW, if you were being sarcastic then nevermind ;)
Very well said Brian! I'm tired of the sense of entitlement people have when it comes to media. I don't understand why it is viewed differently from any other product or service.
High quality content costs money to make.
If you want free video there are millions on YouTube.

Having said that, I do have a problem with the current Cable distribution method, but that is for another conversation.
Really?!
I've done navigation with my phone. You can keep it. The screen is way too small and inconvenient.
It's the same reason big screen TVs are still selling. Many people don't want to watch movies on their iPods.
Duh! There is a lot of crap that nobody needs. People don't need regular TV either. It's called entertainment. And Blu-Ray does it well. Although the prices do need to come down a lot before mass adoption.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I commonly need to boot a system from an external disc and take a snapshot of the host system. I also then need to burn a copy of the image to a DVD. While I can do it with two separate external devices, and two power supplies, and two I/O cables, it'd be nice to find a small dual-drive enclosure. It would need to have USB, eSATA, and FireWire. Either slim-line or half-height bay for the optical burner would be fine, and space for either a 2.5- or 3.5-inch hard disc. Any ideas?"
