After the fourth return of my Z712 due to distortion on wide angle shots, Kodak South Africa surprised me on Friday morning with the Z812... the feel of the camera is much better, more rubber and a more hardy feel to the plastics. The lens construction also seems redesigned. Same screen, and I have some slight issues with the macro functions. And it has to be mentioned that it still runs on AA batteries (which it sucks dry really quickly), instead of Li-Ion. But overall a great improvement over the previous model.
I live in South Africa - a country where if someone does something even remotely viewed as a black/white comparison, some idiot cries foul. This is not some racial issue - there are more important things to worry about. Keep it real.

"I've found myself using my PC for a lot of conversations lately, and I'm also considering recording a podcast to share with anyone who will listen. There are tons of USB headset / microphones out there, and I'm hoping someone has some solid recommendations based on experience. I'll consider both headsets and standalone mics, by the way, but I'd like to keep the bill under $100 if possible. Help!"
