"and if we can figure out how to get a TV tuner in here,"

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16815327005

It's not an internal tuner, but most would argue this is better. Problem solved. :-)
Can't play DVDs? People are seriously still trying to use that argument about the wii?
Newsflash - it's 2009. If nothing else connected to your TV can play DVDs you have more serious problems, like the fact you've just been robbed, or at least have no business commenting on a gadget blog.
Thinking the same thing. Building my i7 rig late July / early august. Wonder if the current 295 water blocks will be compatible?
Was originally looking to the 509-Pro before the new line was announced. Now looking to get a 639-Pro in the near future. Initial reviews show its just as speedy but consumes less power due to the atom processor. More then enough for my storage/streaming needs.
Interesting to see how the VelociRaptor drives compare in a lot of benchmarks. Considering the price per GB and performance, I've yet to have any buyer's remorse after picking one up when they were released.

I'd like to make the jump to SSD when larger drives can give similar performance to the Intel X25-M. I'd like to pick one up for the next rig, but 80GB is just too small, especially for $399.
Never mind RTFA, it states right on the ?^%#@! drive:
'2.5" Solid State Drive'
@ Sea U - Meh. Platter HDDs will still be around for quite a while, especially for storage needs. While Intel has been making some great SSDs, the prices still have come down -allot- before they become more widespread and reasonable. I'm happy with my 320GB Caviar Black drive in my laptop. Great performance/size for the price. That should last me until these hit reasonable sizes for under the $300 mark.

Something tells me these HDD companies already have something in the works. Its just not as profitable for them to release something now while such a small market is actually looking for these drives.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm pretty much a complete noob when it comes to camera stuff. My wife loves to take pictures, though. So much so that she literally wore out her first point and shoot camera, and the Kodak Z712 I bought for her less than two years ago is starting to act up as well. To compound the matter, we are expecting our first born sometime next year. I fear the Kodak just isn't going to cut it any longer. What would be the best starter DSLR to get? She hates missing photo opportunities due to camera 'lag' so speed would definitely be at the top of the list. Photo quality and features would be next. Price should be no more than $800. I'm not interested in video capabilities."
