Argh - I mean, it's "now called 'Space Binos'" !
I had an App rejected because it's initial name 'JED Eyes' was deemed to infringe Lucas Films copyright (even though there it technically no copyrighted word used). I resubmitted, only to have another rejection due to using the phrase 'Star Wars' in the metadata keywords (these are not even visible in iTunes, and are only used for searches).

Anyway, the app is in for it's third attempt at approval now - shouldn't be long. It's not called 'Space Binos' and will turn your iPhone into a pair of Luke Skywalker style Macrobinoculars. Look out for it soon ! :-)
It was to solve exactly this kind of problem that maps were invented :-/ !

Think about it - using this app, to find your nearest station you have to scan a full 360º, looking like a pillock and a prime street robbery target. With a map (eg. Maps app on the iPhone) you just pull it out, hit the locate button and search for 'tube'. Easy.
These ads completely cede the high end of the market to Apple. MS are effectively saying that PCs (note, PCs - there's no mention of Windows in these ads) have to primarily be CHEAP. By implication, of a PC is as expensive as a Mac (as many of them of equivalent spec actually are) then MS are literally saying that you should be buying the Mac.

Really, it's almost sad watching MS's death spiral. It's a bit like watching a wounded animal slowly dying - someone please just shoot it in the head and be done with it.
I've had one of these for over a year (identical) - how is this news ?
This is a great solution for laptop users and those of us with limited expansion possibilities. The DisplayLink people have been promising Mac drivers since Macworld, hopefully they will make good on those promises, because my Mac Mini would love to run an extra display
RnD 'Chinese style':

Step 1: Buy an Apple product and copy it

Step 2: (there is no step 2)
Apple adding new features to devices we've already bought and paid for ? How dare they ?!
What's really strange is that they got it right with the downstream end of the cable (a nice D shaped connector there), and the mini-USB cable (an asymmetric connector there). But the one you actually use most often is the hardest. A failure of HI design.

Yeah - flat screwdrivers frustrate me too, but at least there is no 'wrong way round' to insert the head into the screw !
I want to know what idiot designed the USB plug shape ? Every single time I plug a USB device I seem to get it the wrong way round. OK - realistically, it's probably 50% of the time. But that's the point - it's almost impossible to tell which way to plug it in until you try it.

Firewire is much better in this respect
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm looking for a wireless trackpad to use with my older (2.5 or so years old) C2D MacBook that's perpetually docked to my home theater. Something sleek, thin, not too small, made of high quality materials. Ideally, it would natively support all of (Snow) Leopard's multitouch inputs, and even more ideally, it would have a charging dock / base. The only problem is that I'm not sure that such a thing even exists. Think you can throw me a bone?"
