If it has moved from the drawing board they had better send it back. I don't think that little front wheel will make it through the furrows, depending on the scale. This thing looks top heavy at any scale. Knowing Engadget this is probably a generic robot diagram.
No, don't you see? They are building tiny projectors to show movies to flies! This is why the ultrafast refresh rates are required. Unfortunately it takes thousands of DVDs to store all the frames for a full length film. :(
Is it just me or does this not look rendered? I know graphics are nearly photorealistic these days, but a lot of things that don't involve sophisticated computers get couched as a "simulator". My guess is this is a panoramic video with a guy jumping around in the sand; much like those "driving simulators" we had in high school that compared your wheel/throttle to correct, scripted responses to a first-person video of someone driving.

By the way, UIUC has a five-sided CAVE that plays Quake. I don't know if they have updated it for new games, though. :)
I had a SanDisk Cruzer 512 go through the wash twice and the dryer once during its service life, and it's still going. It only warms up when I read/write incessantly. It's the older, larger form factor so I imagine that dissipates heat more quickly.

A lot of modern solid-state electronics are surprisingly resilient to submersion in a clean liquid like water, provided that you dry them out before energizing them. (A couple of hours in the sun were enough to dry out my dinosaur Kyocera KX414 phone on two occasions.) However, if your phone is not a dinosaur, beware the Red Dot.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm in the market for a new laptop, and I want a 13-incher. I need something with a great keyboard for typing, as this will mostly be used for note taking in class. I am absolutely smitten with the XPS 13, but I'm afraid that with its age Dell is going to give it an update soon. Any advice for someone in my shoes?"
