Jul 15th 2008 7:47PM standard updates to the firmware are ok, as they don't add significant new features. major updates that add new features are not ok, as they weren't accounted for in the price.
that being said it's extremely annoying, and i'm rather glad the 2.0 firmware was leaked.

Jul 10th 2008 6:35AM I was using a php web app [hosted locally on the mac] called zTunes to do this for a while when i first got my iPod touch.
The apple app looks a lot cleaner and much better.

Jun 11th 2008 10:41AM honestly, except for the stars and the black hole nebular thinger in the background, i think the Time Machine UI is quite good - without doing anything except appearing, it's very clear what's going on, and that's exactly what you want from a UI.

If so, I would expect that "junk" apps won't make the cut, no matter how they're priced.
