people on here love to rag on Apple, but no matter what phone you buy now it seems like they all were influenced by the iPhone, look at how many times EVERYONE chases after Apple, remember the original iMac? Soon after that, everything was USB compatible, everything came in see through bright colours etc etc......you NEVER saw that before the iMac. Its a bit like Toyota coming up with a car idea and then all those no good american car companies scramble after that.
The iPhone is NOT the first touchscreen anything, I know that there were "ok" touchscreen phones ten years before the iPhone came out ok, but they were nothing like the iPhone, nothing at all. Did any Nokia N series etc have any features like the iPhone? not really. I wish Apple would copy things like higher MP cameras etc from them, sadly Apple never seems to acknowledge other companies good ideas. I still love Apple and cant consider using anything else, Im looking for a video camera at the moment, and I keep finding myself asking "why doesnt Apple make one?", you see how shit ugly all the HD cameras are, how huge and heavy and cheap feeling they all are in the same shape etc, with terrible interfaces etc. Imagine an iCamera! An iCar!
one day when we can fly through space, things like these robots will be collected and put into storage/museums. It will be like "look Jimmy, ancient humans made these crude tools for space exploration! look at how primitive this "ti-tan-i-yum" is!".
I guess it will be a sort of race, USA will go grab the bits left from the moon landings, China will nick the Voyager probe etc etc
Remember, its not going to go anywhere, It really will be picked up, some day :)
why cant Apple protect its OS? Its nuts to FORCE Apple to sell their property to other makers, imagine that Coke brought out New Coke, turns out nobody likes it, and then Pepsi gathers a couple more points in marketshare, nobody would say that Pepsi has to give their recipe to Coke!
Nobody MAKES you use Windows, nobody MAKES you use OSX, nobody MAKES you use Linux. Why should Apple have to give up their OS? Do I have the right to ask you for your wallet?
Just so you guys know, in Australia and New Zealand at least, "fanny" means....um, well its not "but" like maybe it is up north, it means more like the C word for part of a woman. Theres an episode of The Simpsons where Marge says "...it has a starfish on the fanny!" about a bathing suit for Lisa......very weird, I cant believe that its not beeped out or SOMETHING here! It really means the C word here, you dont say that word on childrens TV!
I think the car is terribly ugly, have a look at any recent Audi/BMW etc etc, they are all miles ahead of this, that ugly baleen whale scoop in particular, but the headlights are like gouged out eyes! ugh.
12 inch PowerBook up in this bitch! woo yeah. I love my baby, 12 inch screen, dvd writer, made out of strong aluminium (al-ew-min-e-yum), why would I get a netbook? I can easily hold it with one hand, I have a PowerMac G5 sitting next to me right now, and my PowerBook easily fits UNDERNEATH the PMG5, I guess some netbooks might even fit through the handle/feet loops though :)
