I got my pre first thing yesterday morning and I have yet to have one single complaint about it. I am actually using it to write this. I hate how people FIND things to complain about. Even if there is nothing. The iphone had dark spots. Or the video was too dark when it came out. People complained about it then and are still complaining about it now. I think that the palm pre is an amazing device. Mine is built solid, and the webos is amazing, I have no complaints whatsoever, I love the palm pre.
Best Buy will be selling the Instinct S30 for 49.99 for new customers. 129.99 upgrade. I was at bestbuy today, and the Lady working at the wireless center had the phones in stock to sell, and they also had the price tags for them. Although they were not put out yet.
your actually pretty right. I mean i was waiting and waiting and waiting, because i was almost certain that a new mac mini was coming seeing that it was probably one of the most talked about announcements(that never happenned). The iphone nano was big talk but a very large majority of us did not see that possible. I dont even think it is real. I really expected a new mini, and the rumor about the new macbook pro 17 incher came in only a few days ago, longggggggg after rumors of a new mini. i didnt even think the new mbp was even real, i thought it was another rumor. I actually got caught by suprise.... I was actually sort of dissapointed today
It makes alot of since. A bigger computer, especially a 17 inch computer will have more room for a larger battery. Knowing apple, you can probably see the battery getting atleast an 8 hour charge. And there might even be ways around it, to get even more time, like options so if you dont touch the trackpad our hit the keyboard for 10 seconds the display turns off. There are alot of things that can get even 10 hours of battery life. What you all think of is, this computer getting 2 and a half hours of power and you not being able to replace the battery where in real life that will most likely never happen. Think.
Your laptop will not turn into a paperweight, you are one of those people that likes to find something to complain about with apple products no matter how great they be. First off, if there is a new macbook pro with the longer lasting battery, just say that the battery will get at least 8 hours. That is a lot of continuous use on a computer. Your very ignorant, because, if the battery fails which there is only a 1 to 2 percent chance in the lifetime of the notebook that it will, you are not going to buy a new computer, you will replace the battery. But because the battery is not replaceable you will have to bring it to an apple store, where in 20 to 30 minutes, you will have a brand new battery for free if it is covered under the warranty. No matter what, the battery will always be replaceable, but not AS replaceable as before. There is more work involved. But if you are getting 8 hours out of the battery then over time it will start to lose its charge, but if this is a different kind of battery it might take longer to lose its charge than say a lithium-ion battery. And since the battery lasts oh so long than you will still get more use out of the battery, because it will most likely take a longer amount of time before the battery will not hold a charge. Dont worry about the non replaceable battery. Because there might be an external one, but see that would be something else for you to complain about. No matter the case, people replacing batteries on their computers during the day is rare. Honestly, how many times have you looked over on a plane, or a bus, or train, or in the office of wherever and seen someone putting a different battery in their computer. Probably never, because i know that i haven't.
So you are saying is having an external battery? Well that kind of would be something to consider, but then people will complain about it just like they did with the external drive on the air. But if you think about it, your only going to take the external battery with you if you believe that you are going to absolutely need it. I mean if say this "new" longer lasting battery does give you at least 8 hours of continuous wireless use, then there really wont be any need to bring the external battery with you, if you know your only going to be using the computer for a few hours. Everyone thinks to far out of the box. There might only be a few times that you might need the external battery, like with the external drive on the air, really the drive is only for home use, because if you bring it into a meeting most of your notes are going to be on the computer. The drive really is only for loading programs and stuff at home, not at the office. Like with the external battery, that might only come in handy on a long plane trip. I actually think that the non replaceable battery is great. Nothing to break loose, like people were having problems with the battery cover on the macbook. Noone is really going to remove the battery, the only great thing about that huge removable cover is to replace the hard drive. An internal battery is only going to give people something to complain about on the new macbook pro if there even is one. But a non replaceable battery with say 8 to even 10 hours of use would not be bad at all. I think its a good idea.
Ok, so this "unboxing" of the 4g ipod nano. YEA RIGHT. Its an ipod nano 2g with an elongated screen and the scroll wheel moved down. They arent going to bring back the bigger click release cock connector. The other ipod nano 4g looks a little more convincing (the bronze looking one if you havent seen it). BUT apple could be releasing something totally different and this is what everyone thinks it will look like.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I have a MacBook Pro and an Xbox 360 and I would like to get a 20- to 24-inch display that will support both devices. The speakers should be inbuilt, or there should be an aux out on the display to hook up external speakers. Help! Please!"
