Jul 8th 2009 10:42AM I've heard that Android doesn't have real apps and real games because of Java or something, similar problem that plagues "WebOS" funny web apps. The upcoming WinMo would be a better option.

Kudos to Redmond guys for this, it might spark some real competition going on between Apple and MS in the mobile ecosystem. Windows 7 and now this AppStore equipped WiMo. Looks like this might be a strong year for M$.

Feb 11th 2009 10:07AM Calm down, Logitech do NOT posses such an embarassing factory!

They have an entire city of workers (China based).

AMD ushers in five new Phenom II CPUs, benchmarking ensues {Engadget}

Feb 9th 2009 10:47AM AMD management needs to "go".

There is not a single point where AMD chip beats Intel at this round.

That is a big no-no in such a competitive market. A very smart move would be to for example to use the space on the shrinked 45nm die to create super fast dual-core CPU design (instead of betting everything on quad core design) such a dual core could have shitload of cache etc. now we have a poor 4 core desing that is slower then Intel's 4 core design and most of the time the other 2 or 3 cores do nothing but waste power :-(

Toshiba introducing SD-friendly players for flash card movies that no one buys {Engadget}

Jan 3rd 2009 1:12PM @THJ

What you said is very shortsighted, VHS, BR, HD-DVD etc. are special compared to SD, don't you see the difference?

The SD cards are dirty cheap, the READERS are dirty cheap, simple, solidstate, the technology is OPEN to pretty much everybody.

Now comes the unexpected advantage, the memory density of these small things are now reaching BluRay, SD cards are what 8, 16, 32GB and soom more, prices are expected to drop sharply in following years. Even now those RW-SDs are dirty cheap, what about R-Read only?

This might be easily the winning format if mass marketed. The BluRay reader cost hundreds of dollars, the licensing of BR parts is a big problem, the longevity of those mechanical drives is disputed.

AMD Phenom II CPU roadmap foreshadows potent Spring {Engadget}

Dec 2nd 2008 1:12PM AMD is the only hope now, Core i7 is dead, TBL bug.

I am eager to see what AMD has to offer. Hope they will make some strong dual core processor, most people need single threaded super fast execution, not 4 useless semi-slow cores even on server, you do not have 4 ethernet cards ether.
