But, that's not what I said at all. I didn't say they took it out of the bucket. I said only 9 of the 10 pieces were finished on time. So, they sold you the 9 at the full price of the 10 piece meal. Which is exactly what happened. Then afterwards, when they were able to finish cooking that 10th piece, instead of giving it to you, they offered to sell it to you at an additional cost.

Now, I hear a lot of people saying, "Well, damnit, those 9 pieces of chicken were tasty and delicious. You should be happy." And, yes, they were delicious. But, the point is, 9 pieces wasn't the entire meal.

To me, it's just a matter of principal.
If that's the way you want to see it. From the statements, it seems that my analogy is closer to what really happened.
"There was so little to do in Forli, I knew as soon as I left the area that it would be the most likely area for DLC. That zone just seemed unfinished."

Wow, so you will even ADMIT that the game seemed incomplete. Then at the same time defend them for this whole thing. I just don't get it. I, for one, am going to do exactly what you suggest. I won't buy the DLC. And, I don't care how good the review scores are for AC3, it won't see a single cent of my money. It's just the principal of the thing.
"Damnit, the game isn't going to be finished in time. Hey, I've got an idea. Let's just leave out the chapters that aren't finished and sell them what we've got...at full price. Then, when we do finish the other two chapters, we'll sell them those too."

That's caring about the customers?
"Do you give away chicken for free?"

Hmmmm...well, if you went into KFC and paid for a 10 piece family meal, then they said "Hey, only 9 of the pieces are done, so we're just gonna give you those 9. But you can buy the 10th piece for an extra dollar," would that be okay with you?
"The way you act, always supporting the game publishers, and not the consumer makes me wonder where your priority is."

That's kinda been the story this generation, and I don't understand it either. People will defend a company that clearly sold them something rushed, incomplete, faulty...whatever.

Like I said, I didn't mind the idea of the missing chapters being paid DLC when I thought that was the original plan. But, now that I know they were dropped just to meet a deadline, I won't support it. It's the principal of the thing.
@shadowbender

Personally, I'd rather the game was delayed and completed than be sold something incomplete at full price. I had no problem with this whole thing when I though it was part of the original plan to release the other two sections as DLC. Now that I know they just ditched the content to make a deadline, I'm not paying for it.
I agree with Zan. Since it should have been part of the game, it should be free now.

Put it like this, if my boss gives me a project to be finished by Monday, and I fail to get it all done by end of work Friday, I can't go to him and say, "Well, hey, I didn't get finished. If you want the project completed, you're going to have to pay me overtime so I can do it this weekend."

Well, I guess I COULD do that. But, I'm pretty sure I'd be looking for a new job soon after.
Honestly, I didn't care...until now. Not the smartest move saying, "Well, this was supposed to be part of the game, but we didn't have time to finish it. So, we took it out to meet our deadline. Now, we're going to make you pay for it."

Really, who decided it was a good idea to tell the public this.
lol @ D-5

They should at least have a current gen game that's up to date out in Japan. That way those of us who keep up with the anime or manga could import. Far as I know, the only Shippuuden game out is for the PS2.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I commonly need to boot a system from an external disc and take a snapshot of the host system. I also then need to burn a copy of the image to a DVD. While I can do it with two separate external devices, and two power supplies, and two I/O cables, it'd be nice to find a small dual-drive enclosure. It would need to have USB, eSATA, and FireWire. Either slim-line or half-height bay for the optical burner would be fine, and space for either a 2.5- or 3.5-inch hard disc. Any ideas?"
