I'd just like to thank those who have already responded.

In regards to PS3 availability, I was quite lucky that I got my PS3 at £225 this xmas. Sainsburys had a mad offer on, and my friend used his employee discount. There are barely any good deals on at the moment though.
Kinda related to buying consoles...

I'm doing a thesis on video games in Europe. If you live in Europe, and have 5 minutes spare, I'd really appreciate it if you could answer my survey. It's on why people choose the console they buy, and the impact of casual gamers, including Natal and the PS3 motion controllers. Thanks in advance

I've been looking through some of the annual reports of Sony this week for my MA, and I can't see a price cut coming soon. Sony haven't achieved cost reduction in the same manner as they have with the PS2. I saw an interview late last year, with Sony echoing this. Sony are still making a large operating margin loss, and the shareholders deserve some cash.
I run quite a lot, and use a GPS to track me. For those with Nokia phones, check out www.sportstracker.nokia.com. It's awesome. I've got a N95 8B and if you download the software, it'll track your run upload it to the service. There, you can see your run on Google Maps, monitor your progress etc. With the exception of the cost of the phone, it's free, and you can use it now.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm heading to university next year, and I've purchased a MacBook. I'm also taking my four year old desktop, just in case I'm left with no computers when the MacBook is being repaired or whatnot. With only two USB ports on a MacBook, I want a Bluetooth mouse. Budget is about $100, and of course, it needs OS X support. Thanks for the help!"
