The price sounds right. I wonder if it works with phone calls.
Ya, that thing looks like it was driven right out of my 360.
I knew I should have patented that idea a long time ago.

It boggles me that this has taken so long for someone to create this. I was boasting this idea to me friends years ago when the 360 launched and CoD2 came out.

A mouse in one hand and an analog stick in the other with buttons all around.

It didn't take a genius, but I suppose most peripheral companies just figured there wasn't a market for this type of thing until recently.

I for one would probably sink back into FPS's in a major way if I went out and bought one of these bad boys.
(That is of course, assuming that it works well with the games I'd want to play.)
Onstar is still usable even if you don't pay for it. I know because I've pushed the button when I didn't have a subscription and it still connects to them. I think it's more for life or death emergencies though and not for something like locking your keys in your car.

I'm sure that Onstar would cooperate with the police if the system were installed and the police were in pursuit regardless of the subscription status.
Does anyone know of any company that will take orders for this type of thing?

Like if I wanted to have a 3d Model printed into a 3d object, are there any companies that would do that?
God Bless it!

I remember reading about OLED technology 2 years ago and drooling over the Optimus Maximus OLED Keyboard that I would never afford.

Why is this tech taking so long to go mainstream!

Give it to me now!

For $199 that looks pretty sweet! Reminds me of Christmas.
I guess it make sense only because it would mostly be for kids and a PS3 or 360 consume a considerable amount of power compared to a PS2. Also, heating issues and the like would be problematic when trying to implement a current gen console.

Still, I'd be pissed if my mom spent 1,000 buck on a console for the car when she could have bought a bunch of new games for my handheld or home console.

Not that it matters much to me now. I'm 30 and far from worrying about what my mom does to her car.

"Imagine if pot were legal and you were standing in a bar with a bunch of people smoking pot"

Even if pot were legal, why would it be legal too smoke pot in a bar? It's illegal (in California and many other states) to smoke in public areas. Some of which include parks and beaches. Why would pot be any different? Unless they were serving edibles, which of course is smokeless, I can't see pot becoming a public phenomenon even if it were entirely legalized. The most you would likely see in public is people smoking it on sidewalks or in their cars.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I own an iPhone 3G and I'm looking for a decent speaker / alarm clock for it. I am going to listen music in a mid-sized room, so I want nice quality speakers with solid bass. I also want to use it as an alarm clock, so it would be great if there is such a feature. The price can be low-mid to mid-high range. I was looking at the Klipsch iGroove SXT; it's powerful, slick and the reviews are good, but it doesn't have an alarm clock feature. It's no deal breaker if I can set it up from the iPhone, but I'm not sure. Thanks!"
