So does this mean that music blogs like http://puritanb.blogspot.com/ will be able to actually make some money while supplying Kindle users with OTA music for free over Whispernet? That would be one of the sweetest ways to make money semi-illegally ever.
also, you could just remote into it. using vnc, windows remote desktop, leopard's version of it, etc... though i do love the dropbox idea!
John... they have that on android, in addition to the Market. You can just download an .apk and it's the same thing. Also, you can set up your own Market I believe, so there may be all sorts of alternate markets cropping up. Ya never know!
Aye, there was buzz about 2 months ago on the google group about an alpha/beta test of the online plugin for linux, which leads to a form where you can register for it when it comes out: https://spreadsheets.google.com/viewform?key=pYZOS6WEwfd2dhlZI2m_bRQ

No response for a while, but we'll see if their chrome for linux in 2009 has it built in.
The other video makes it clearer that this is probs running some variation of ubuntu.
Why not just bring the computer into the real world? Already has 3d built in.

To be more specific, how about glasses/contacts/goggles that have a translucent overlay? Then, the webcam on the bridge of the nose can help you attach tags to things in the real world; your pal Steve would show up with his info and latest status hovering to the side. With bluetooth in the phone-like device that is powering this, you could get any info you didn't have that he wants you to, or that he has set to auto-send to friends.

Much more practical than a desktop cube.
I think a lot of folk are missing the point. The problem with all-in-one PCs is that people use them as their main, powerhouse desktop when they are really a laptop crammed into a desktop format. This creates a new type of low-power PC designed for information rather than production around the house, sort of like a beefed up slimmer Chumby or like ntlam said, an eee pc bolted to the wall so it is always where you need it!
Are those the icons from Synaptic Package Manager or am I missing a joke? Che confused.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm looking for a solid state drive, around 32 to 64GB, for use in my web server. The drive will contain my web sites and the operating system, either Windows Server 2008 R2 or Ubuntu. Large storage is handled by a separate RAID array, so capacity is not an issue. Rather, I am looking for the fastest, longest-lasting, and most reliable drive under $150 that is suitable to my application. Any thoughts? Thanks!"
