Obviously, one of the biggest features Verizon is selling this on is its physical keyboard. Obviously they wouldn't work tons on the virtual one when they knew people wouldn't use it as often.
It can be perceived as a flaw in the OS/phone, but honestly people aren't gonna care; I'd hate to sound like a fanboy right now but if they actually wanted a functional multi-touch keyboard, they would've bought the iPhone. No one's gonna choose this over an iPhone unless they realllly wanted the keyboard, or Android, or flash, etc etc.
I'm not sure of how multi-touch technology works on a phone, but maybe they'd be able to allow multi-touch through an update.
my two cents
@dsteve303

FAAAAAAAAAAAAIL.
Thank you for making my day.
Being a current iPhone 3G user, if this came out next year around this time
I would switch preeeeeeeeettty quickly
That's a sexy ass mofuckin' phone ya got thure, LG. That's possibly the sexiest phone since the iPhone itself.
Well done!
cmon, Microsoft.
I mean, I know why they would release it in Fall, primarily so they can have holiday sales, but I would much more prefer it be released in the summer where I actually have time off of school to actually do something.
I don't know, maybe it's just me. Maybe some kids have lives.
@iphonerulez,

Really? "get into the hottest clubs and attract the finest women?"
what are you, 12?
You just HAD to bring politics into this, didn't you, Jeeh...
Blame it on the flu, got you feeling blue
Blame it on the pigs, gotcha takin' meds

Really Nintendo?
I mean, I love Nintendo, and own a Wii...
But this sounds really lame. I guess they're just not aiming for my age group. I want a really good Wii game to come out...
How the hell can they can get this on the road, when they can't bring the BMW C1 to the US itself? That thing looks WAY cooler than this.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"What's the best gaming laptop for under 1,500 bucks? I had my eye on the P7805u (Gateway), but it seems Best Buy has run out for the time being. Also, as a secondary question, I like the specs on brands such as iBUYPOWER and CyberPower and the like, but are they reliable? I'm a little worried about buying labels that aren't huge like Dell, Gateway, etc. Thanks!"
