Already sold my G1 in anticipation for this.

Google, please don't keep the "invitation only" period too long!
@Xega
It'll take Google all of 2 mins to add multi touch in ALL the missing places on Android if Apple eases their patent stronghold.

It's not they can't, they just won't.
@Jeff
Agreed, a trackball or optical "ball" would be more useful than that d-pad occupying space the keyboard layout.

Move the d-pad out of there, provide a better layout for the keyboard and add an optical trackball under the screen.

We end up paying for Verizon's lawyers AND FCCs lawyers too ;).

In the end, we're probably paying more than the price of a movie ticket for this entertainment~
@skyblaze
LOL. Android phone without Gmail is like iPhone without the iPod app.
@Patlex
Wow. The last link clearly shows it's a trackball and not an optical "mouse". Nice find Patlex!
With every attempt that Apple makes to get rid of buttons once and for all, there will be something like this invented to balance the playing field.
@Mr Edd
I wouldn't go to Mr. Edd's extreme. I like the shape but that gray/black combination is ugly IMO. Give me this phone in an ALL BLACK please! TIA.
@Tommy
Possibly because AT&T is the biggest lobbyist against net neutrality, a policy in the opposite direction of Google's entire web business model. Also, AT&T is too far deep into the iPhone and Apple and Google are not at the best terms these days, now are they?
@ldudiaz
Short Answer: No Sprint.
Long Answer: Sprint is a CDMA carrier, and this particular phone is GSM. Unless Google releases a CDMA variant, this one would not work on Sprint network.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I've found myself using my PC for a lot of conversations lately, and I'm also considering recording a podcast to share with anyone who will listen. There are tons of USB headset / microphones out there, and I'm hoping someone has some solid recommendations based on experience. I'll consider both headsets and standalone mics, by the way, but I'd like to keep the bill under $100 if possible. Help!"
