I guess that makes sense. Although it doesn't really need to run Vista as it bypasses all of the audio stuff anyway. It would be good if the OS was on a small SSD with the data being kept on the HDD.
It is considering it runs on Vista. You'd think they would have gone with some sort of instant-on embedded OS. Do you have to wait for it to boot up before you can listen to your music?
Because a wireless transmitter/receiver inside the unit could cause interference with the amplifier. It happens.
I totally agree that N is one of the most underrated games of all time. Hopefully they won't mess with it too much!

Rez should be a lot of fun too, and SWOS is another classic I've been looking forward to. XBLA seems to be going from strength to strength at the minute.

I hope one of the unreveleaded teams is Chuck Norris. Not a team of Chucks, just the one!
Looks like the music industry are finally getting with the times and trying out new ways of marketing to their target audience. I think this is an awesome idea!
Interesting idea, but like many other commenters here, I stopped going there anyway. Whether it was caused by the ads or not, it's still not right to suddenly fire one of your most senior staff, just for doing their job, without giving them a good reason.
That makes me laugh. Throw in a nasty jab at Microsoft / Sony / Nintendo / Apple and you've got every single pointless blog comment* ever devised, all in one place. Maybe you could make a multiple-choice based system?

(* I'm not saying that all blog comments are pointless, just that the "why is this news" type ones are!)
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I own an iPhone 3G and I'm looking for a decent speaker / alarm clock for it. I am going to listen music in a mid-sized room, so I want nice quality speakers with solid bass. I also want to use it as an alarm clock, so it would be great if there is such a feature. The price can be low-mid to mid-high range. I was looking at the Klipsch iGroove SXT; it's powerful, slick and the reviews are good, but it doesn't have an alarm clock feature. It's no deal breaker if I can set it up from the iPhone, but I'm not sure. Thanks!"
