Hey I'm just curious is their a tough-gear electronics blog in development? I mean this is at least the second electronic device with waterproof capability mentioned in the last 24 hours and I'm sure there were a few more.
Nutsfullabeer you must be brilliant, search the internet and do some reading. I'm not talking about before I get the DVD, I'm talking about when you send it back. There was a bunch of discussion about this problem a long time ago.

BTW, what seal? Those paper sleeves don't seal crap. I actually got my Netflix movie practically falling out of the package one time. Maybe they've changed since when I subscribed but regardless keep the doofus retardation to yourself.
This is actually sort of cool because some post-office people have a habit of snatching DVDs in the mail to watch, which results in even longer wait times. I've given up on Netflix and services of the like especially when they wrap their movies in bright/obvious packaging.
If only they'd give it a VGA screen it would be cool. Actually though, if I was serious I'd just buy a UMPC instead of buying these toys that have no future beyond their immediate use/purpose.
Hey has anybody bought one of those Atom Chip SG220-2 (also runs on RAM) mobile computers? If you have please reply and tell me how it's even remotely possible to run Windows on it. Oh and tell me what other stuff runs on it, I'd loved to hear about it. How well does it handle porn? The guy who called in on QVC said his Dell handled porn well, so that's my benchmark.
Regardless of the commercial aspects, I say this whole Blu-ray/HD-DVD war has helped bring attention to the fact that DVDs just don't have enough space for todays media. Overall, I'm waiting until they commercialize something like that 1TB DVD or something along the lines of HVD.

Otherwise, I'm all for getting an awesome PS3 because the Blu-ray disks can hold more data than those Xbox 360 DVDs.

Optical disks are just a backup utility in my mind, which means I don't want to pay a lot. However, I do want a lot of uncompressed storage space. As for movies on Blu-ray, I watch movies online regardless of how terrible they may look so what do I care.

I shutup now.

The following is sarcasm ...

Hey that's nothing, I patented the idea of a single divine entity and I'm looking forward to suing all those Middle Easterners and right-wing Bible-belt Americans. I think I may also have a patent on publications that claim to be divinely inspired. Oh and I need to get around to suing Hollywood for making movies off of my divine entity. Wow, I have a lot work to do. Oh I also need to put together a company and get listed on the stock market so I can be like SCO [Ticker: SCOX] whose stock is at 2.60 which is quite a steal.

The end ... might I add that Immersion sucks just as much as SCO. The United States patent system sucks and people were warning us about it years ago. Then some of us citizens in the United States voted for Bush and so on goes the story.
Why hasn't anybody mentioned the one thing the Newton 2000 series had that everyone is too sissy to add, 2 Type II PCMCIA Slots. I mean come on a portable device with 2 Type II PCMCIA Slots. My ancient PowerBook G4 12" doesn't even have one PCMCIA slot of any kind, except maybe one internally somewhere that holds my AirPort card.

Someone please add a real expansion slot to these toys people call UMPC. I do realize that with either FireWire or USB 2.0 the need for a built-in expansion slot is less necessary. However, that creates a mess of it's own because then you have to have stupid wires sticking out of your so-called ultra mobile computer. The only wire I will maybe allow sticking out of my UMPC is an external battery system.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"What's the best gaming laptop for under 1,500 bucks? I had my eye on the P7805u (Gateway), but it seems Best Buy has run out for the time being. Also, as a secondary question, I like the specs on brands such as iBUYPOWER and CyberPower and the like, but are they reliable? I'm a little worried about buying labels that aren't huge like Dell, Gateway, etc. Thanks!"
