I doubt they spent much on either.
Sorry but I was going more off of that 2025 date.

Even if this were available by 2015, there's no way in hell I'd be able to afford it, I'm sure. 1080p wandered into my price range not too long ago so this being anything reasonable in the next decade strikes me as far-fetched. Lasik, on the other hand, still seems plausible.
Yeah, does this enable HD streaming from Netflix or just SD? Sorry if this has been covered but I wasn't really paying attention as I thought this was further out.
I'll be 45 when this is available to me. I wear glasses already. Lasik first, pipe dream about super HD later.
That's actually not true. There's a reason they don't use aluminum bats in the major leagues; they really do result in a greater hit with less effort.

In amateur baseball, both wooden and metal alloy bats are generally permitted. Recently there have been increasing numbers of "wooden bat leagues" and the trend back to wood seems to be accelerating due to safety concerns regarding the speed of a batted ball hit directly toward the pitcher's head. Metal (generally aluminum) alloy bats are generally regarded as being capable of hitting a ball faster and farther than wooden bats swung with the same power.

Unfortunately that vowel trick doesn't always work. Rather than try to argue with you and toss out "just so you know," I thought a link to a credible source would help.

According to the Online Writing Lab at Purdue, it's "a US". A quick google search will find many other links that tell you the same.

Your views intrigue me and I wish to subscribe to your newsletter. Where could I find that?
What's the upload requirement to get 720p out of the home?

And if you've got a media center and use your xbox 360 as an extender, this is EXACTLY like a Slingbox, allowing you to get to that content and, apparently, record it. Suddenly this feels like a very real competitor in a unique scenario with additional functionality.
Hit the nail on the head for me. Make an inflatable stand that winds up in this shape and we can talk.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm pretty much a complete noob when it comes to camera stuff. My wife loves to take pictures, though. So much so that she literally wore out her first point and shoot camera, and the Kodak Z712 I bought for her less than two years ago is starting to act up as well. To compound the matter, we are expecting our first born sometime next year. I fear the Kodak just isn't going to cut it any longer. What would be the best starter DSLR to get? She hates missing photo opportunities due to camera 'lag' so speed would definitely be at the top of the list. Photo quality and features would be next. Price should be no more than $800. I'm not interested in video capabilities."
