My Verizon smartphone has WiFi (HTC Ozone). Big Red has gotten much better in terms of keeping Bluetooth and WiFi un-locked-down in recent years, IMO.

As GingerFox pointed out, it IS NOT a monopoly. In fact, Microsoft never had a monopoly over anything. The computer operating system and browser markets are oligopolies (i.e. a few companies offering very similar products). Just because one product or company has a majority market share, it does not make it a monopoly. Lack of monopoly is exactly why this whole browser choice screen pointless. In fact, the reasons this whole thing is pointless has been beaten into everyone's skulls so much on this site that I need not say more.

There are other things that belong to 13 that I would much rather see other than her electronics.....if you know what I mean.
i could certainly use a new laptop!
I hope this is still up for grabs! I want!
i really hope that's just the default "we dont want to bother the 'typical' user with an update they wont understand" so they just have the phone do it itself over a longer period of time and maybe that button at the bottom there actually does download it "now." i know 128MB would take roughly 3-4 (maybe less depending on time of day) minutes with verizon in philadelphia so hopefully sprint isn't THAT far behind.
oh c'mon, not allowed to have fun with homophones? lighten up
In all honesty, this thing sucks and is overpriced. Hell, if I wanted a super-thin laptop, the Macbook Air is the best choice in terms of price/performance. I HATE Apple and constantly rip on them for their pricing, yet not a single PC manufacturer can match them in this niche market in terms of performance per dollar. It's pretty sad, really.

Actually if you were able to order a Veyron and get delivery of a new one, it was more like $1.3 million or so. And it goes from 0-60 in less than 3 seconds, far quicker than 4.

Pretty impressive for a fancy Volkswagen, don't you think?
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I am looking for a 12- or 13-inch ultraportable that can also play modern games at a reasonable level, for less than $1,000. I know the brainiacs out there can help me out. Love the site, thanks!"
