This item looks interesting. Having tried to organize myself using smart phones, tablet pcs and planners I am skeptical that this approach would become habitual for me. I'm asking myself if I really need to organize my life with snippets from the web and so on. Is this gadget going to somehow give me the capacity to organize particular kinds of projects therefore Ill start managing particular kinds of projects? I may find myself seeking a more complicated life style in order to use this gadget to its potential.

Right now there is someone completely sticky from glue sticks with paper cuts from magazine clippings jumping for joy that this product is coming.
I cant find a Bamboo touch anywhere in Washington state.. There is One staples that says they have the display but no product. GRRR.. Waiting for them to see if they get it in todays shipment.. Im getting the model with the pen (I may even pop for the medium size if it is available).. Hopefully it will be good enough to replace my mouse and my giant Intuos3..

Thanks so much Matt. Good stuff in a pinch. Bet you will think twice before you let everyone know your the only kid on the block with the new toy..

Question for you:

Most multitouch gizmos come with a toy program of sorts that allows you to see the input of the pad in real time. If you drop your fingers on the pad it will give you a graphic representation of what is being touched. Can you find any utility programs from the wacom install that do this? Im 99% positive that this tablet has the ability to sense 4 or 5 fingers at a time.. DRIVERS? Those have to be coming..

This may be naive but didn't Fingerworks make an open SDK for their products? I wonder if there would be a way to glean some of that tech..
Share please!

Can you define your own gestures?
How many fingers does it recognize?
YAY!! Multitouch is coming back to life after Apple killed Fingerworks and gave us ONE gesture from all of the years of fingerworks genius multitouch development!! I used a fingerworks touchstream for years so I am a little bitter watching this technology trickle out like its new. Hurray for Wacom.. Wacom managed to covertly release some multitouch goodness to the masses while Apple was looking the other way.. Stay tuned, They may pay for this in court.. Soooo funny that there is no mention of this product anywhere yet it is on store shelves.. Bravo..

I would tattoo Engadget's logo on my butt for this one.

Here is how you fix the global economy:

A few scientists fabricate and globally broadcast immediate need to deal with a massive global threat. The threat would be so mortifying that it would literally jar every person in the world into prioritizing the existence of the human race above anything else. Something like a Giant Asteroid would due nicely. Watch the human race band together in a unified effort to save its self. In the end, the human race will figure out that they have been tricked and will ultimately end up killing the fabricators. However, they soon after realize that they were brought together in the experience and come to morn the loss of the tricksters that duped them. So much so that they abandon their religions for a new global religion that worships the ghosts of the dead fabricators. The new religion grows so powerful that it overthrows all governments and continues its own agenda that forces the development and distribution of new communication technologies and gadgets to more deeply unify the people of the world. The Gadget driven world economy advances rapidly and develops technology to accommodate literally every human need including solar power human energy systems that eliminate human needs and tendencies like eating food, sleeping, breathing air or dieing. Engadget buys Amazon and turns it into a gadget implant super store. Everyone is Happy..

HMDs are hot.
My G1 departed HODGKINS IN, on 10/17/2008.. I'm in the Seattle area.. Delivery date still says the 21st..

Its amazing to me that there are so many of us grown men (myself included) with little patience for our toys.. How many of you have checked UPS more than 3 times today?? God I'm a dork!! Having learned from past climactic gadget arrivals, I know that Ill get the G1, rip it open like a child at Christmas, fiddle until I'm exhausted and finally apologize to my wife for having been absent for so long.. After all of the studying, obsessing, reviewing, wondering and waiting, I know Ill feel that certain emptiness that only comes when I'm finally holding the thing in my hands.. I wish drug company's would come up with some sort of drug for gadget addicts.. Until then, $200 bucks for the next best gadget/fix will have to do..

They are headed in the right direction as far as I'm concerned.. I believe that multitouch surfaces will replace both mice and keyboards.. I used a Touchstream from Fingerworks before Apple bought the company and the tech. It took a little while to get used to typing with no keys.. Once you get the hang of it you will never look back.. I Promise.. sooo much more powerful.. I cant wait until they do away with the keyboard all together..

"I need help! I want a small pocket camcorder but I'm not sure which one to get. I don't want to fall into the hype of the Flip because I worry two hours won't be enough. What should I be looking for when considering a small camcorder and where can I get a good quality one with expandable memory? Thanks!"
