P, please back up your statement of how the Droid is "much better"

If thinner means better, then sure, but it DOESN'T
If capacitive means better, then sure, but it DOESN'T

The fact is, N900 and Droid are TWO of the the best devices on the market, so why does one have to be better? N900 does flash out the box and Droid doesn't. Droid makes you pay $30 a month for tethering and N900 doesn't.That's a HUGE letdown for me. Droid has a nice capacitive screen and N900 has one of the nicest resistive screens, but neither phone does universal multitouch. iPhone does, but is iPhone better? I wouldn't say so.

Both devices to multitasking like champs, both have almost endless possibilities for personalization and customization, but IMHO, N900 will customize better. Being able to pull up the terminal and customize your phone the way you would your linux box is exactly what I've always wanted. Droid isn't geared towards crazy tech geeks like N900 is, so Motorola was able to focus more of their attention on making it look nice and play nice to a wider audience.

But have you even seen some of the sh*t N900 can do? Youtube it. You won't think Droid is "much better" anymore.
La Sombra hasn't heard of symbolism in advertising
Ads like this have been airing since the birth of tv commercials. It's the brilliant marketing idea that if you make an ad shocking/strange/awkward enough, more people will talk about it, and no publicity is bad publicity. I mean, it obviously worked since we're commenting in an article specifically about their ad...sooo....
ninja whatchu thinkin'??? get an n900!
still want one...
PROTIP: hackintosh it.

actually, smartass, you'd be surprised. Most people hit 2 fingers at a time on keyboards without realizing it. When you do it without multitouch, the screen doesn't know which letter to pick and some screens will hit the letter in-between the two pressure points; so if you hit H then while typing fast accidentally hit A before you release, it will input D for you. With multitouch enabled it can speed up your typing and account for less errors. Something we can all use.
Double tap may be quicker, but pinch zoom is more precise. i can resize a section to whatever size I want, not just a pic or block of text and have the phone guess how I want it.

I've been using browsers that use double tap for awhile now on WinMo, and clicking that tiny tiny link at the top or bottom of a page (like a page number) is a nightmare without pinch zoom. You can take out the zoom magnifying glass in these situations, but in many cases you are resized away from the link you wanted or you're still too far to be comfortable clicking it.

And I use multitouch pinch zoom with one hand all the time, you should try it. When the phone's as thin as the Droid of iPhone, it's quite easy.

both use finger rotation for zoom. It's nice, just not as accurate as pinch zoom. *sigh*
Actually, Apple patented the word "multi-touch" (hyphen included) as a feature for Apple touch devices. Multitouch, on the other hand, is a technology that's been used for plenty of devices without lawsuit (ZuneHD, TouchSmart PC, Palm Pre, etc.)
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I just moved into a new apartment and have been reading about all of the new power strips out there, especially the green ones. I was wondering if you had any suggestions about which "green "power strips are out there with decent joules ratings. And when I say green, I mean power strips that have the remotes or switches to turn off all electricity flowing to certain plugs and with at least 2 plugs that are always on. I was looking specifically at sub $50 because I will need two, but if that is not possible I could be convinced otherwise. Thanks!"
