Also a newsflash. This wont be available in the states. buffallo has shut down any business related to memory/storage in the US Aug 1st. biz as usual overseas.

Like other businesses, Between the dollar and the fact that we're overextended americans. industry is bypassing the weak spending power of americans for the broke but more plentiful addressable market in EMEA.
This is obv. a sprint employee choking on his/her pacifier. monster.com bra
They are only around for poor folk, the service is less expensive than their rivals so they will continue to have customers regardless of how the network and customer service performs. if the economy picks up, they may lose customers even faster.
Man, Sprint is already on the deathwatch list and moving close to a big mox "in the ground." They have already made the move from a facilities based mobile phone carrier to a virtual carrier after the sale of every last one of their towers to TowerCo last July. So they dont have their own network, they are losing customers faster than jenna Jameson loses her clothes. Can't be long now before they are gone. With no network, their really isnt anything left for another firm to acquire. they wont need the people, Verizon can pickup the customers (Less the IDEN stuff), eh, they can probably pick that up too if they do a deal with TowerCo...
This has nothing to do with adding value for Sprint customers. Sprint is almost flat broke.

They sold every last one of their towers to TowerCo, so they actually don't own their own network anymore. This Wi-Fi junk is a ploy to minimize the use of tower infrustructure and route calls cheaper for themselves. Oh yea, and the customer gets Wi-Fi as a byproduct.
man i thought the best i could as a day laborer was rake leaves. but if this is the best the motorola design team can do, maybe i can really help out with this cellphone design thing.
have to bring my post over from yesterdays piece since this pos got more press....

I haven't used the word fugly since '93 but this phone has brought the term out of retirement. This phone is fuuuugly. F'in ugly. they must have a bunch of guys who worked on the original DynaTAC 8000X workin on this; the only difference between now and '83 is these guys have cataracts. the whole company has one foot in the ground.

This phone is the telco equivalent of the Pontiac Aztec to the auto industry.

Att Emp Again, you and the others don't get it.

Just because you work for a company, doesnt mean it's your company. The company doesnt need an excuse. The company reserves the right to set the value of your hard work. if you don't like it, stop cryin and go work somewhere else.

Att Emp and EOC

It has happened to me already. I moved on. It happened to me again. I didnt have the skills to move on. I got the skills. I was pissed off every time. I'm an idot, but...boy. You should see how well I live brutha

I'll be hangin with the wife n kid in my nice pad why you walk the picket line. yea, guess what. I'll probably leave this job again; get laid off again. I won't cry over it, I'll move on. even if I have to leave the country; see I'm more than a survivor buddy, I'm a thriver. It might not be exactly the way I want but things are good. Yea, I can see what you did there, but that, my friend is not going to pay your bills or put food on the table. honestly, that is not my problem, and it appears to be not AT&Ts problem either
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I just switched to Sprint from Verizon about three months ago for the Pre. Then I went for the Hero about a week ago. Now, I miss my hardware keyboard and am thinking about switching to the Moment. I am still able to switch back to Verizon if I want and get the Droid when it arrives. Should I just trade up to the Moment when it comes out, see if I like it, and if not switch to the Droid? Or something else entirely? Help!"
