@Robin Jacobs Google flexing their muscle. We all knew it would happen sooner or later.

"Do no evil" as long as the evil is directed outward I guess that phrase doesn't apply.
100,000 apps at the Apple app store. But 99,000 of them are flashlights. I can get a real flashlight for a couple of bucks that has replaceable batteries! ;-)
I hate the current Mac vs. PC ads. They make people feel sorry for the PC guy and make the Apple guy look smug and arrogant.

Is that the way people think about Apple users?
I love the Sansa clips. Small form factor, lots of battery life and easy to use. Some people spend hundreds of dollars per room to wire their house for sound. I buy Sansa clips, when they're on sale at Woot for $24, and add $40 PC speakers with subwoofer and viola! sound in every room including bathrooms.

I gave one to each of my daughters in college to use as a way to easily record college lectures. One, a D1 athlete, misses classes in the spring. She asked the professor to clip on on her lapel during class to record the lecture. Did it without question.

I keep one at my desk at my office. Since it plays FM I can pipe FM radio through my PC's line-in.

These are wonderful little devices. Buy them by the dozen!
Did you see the "root kit" coming also? Avoid Sony like a virus. Oops, they are a virus.
A bunch of old men running China who have probably never seen a computer.
Why is this news? I've been using a CF-to-SD card adapter in my Canon 40D for almost a year. My converter was about $20. With an SD adapter I can use a micro-SD if desired.

Compact Flash news isn't news.
I love my Sync. I don't need an expensive iPod to play music. A 16gb thumb drive will do. Plus now I can listen to Last.fm via my Windows Mobile phone. No need to pay for XM radio. Just awesome.

Keep it up Ford and Microsoft.
Been using the Wii Fit since Labor Day and have lost 23 pounds in that time. I always found exercise boring and too cheap to spend $70 per month for a gym. This has a large variety of exercises that keep me engaged and I can do it in my home. I'm not saying it's for everyone, but it works for me.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm looking for a wireless trackpad to use with my older (2.5 or so years old) C2D MacBook that's perpetually docked to my home theater. Something sleek, thin, not too small, made of high quality materials. Ideally, it would natively support all of (Snow) Leopard's multitouch inputs, and even more ideally, it would have a charging dock / base. The only problem is that I'm not sure that such a thing even exists. Think you can throw me a bone?"
