May 3rd 2006 9:25PM Bittorrent is a really useful tool to remove the strain of running your own server. However, you have to depend on the number of users actually sharing the files and whether or not the bittorrent traffic is blocked via firewall and/or router configs.
That's why implementing bittorrent as part of an update system is always an "iffy" deal.
I suspect that this will never take off.

Dec 2nd 2005 12:28PM Although I'm a Linux person, I must say that yeah, Microsoft does receive a lot of stick from us open source folks. Of course, MS do get a lot of things right at least in the technological and UI aspects.
