*9 years and still selling.
What they really want is the success of the Playstation 2, which is now over 8 years old and is still selling.

That's what they're talking about when they refer to the lifecycle -- not putting a new console out every 10 years or still concentrating development on it for 10 years.
Anyone notice the Mac she picks up is actually a MacBook and not a MacBook Pro? Then they flash over to a MBP's price tag.

That Mac was definitely not $2000. Good try Microsoft, but isn't that a little deceitful?
Price was not an issue for them. Microsoft PAID for the laptops in every commercial. They were simply given an artificial budget by Microsoft with which to find a computer.

Price was the issue for Microsoft, not the consumer.
Well, Apple lists the Air as #4 in their "Top Sellers" list, above Mac Pros and Mac Minis.

I had a Revision 1 Air but returned it due to overheating. I'd love a Rev2, but I hear there are some display problems.
I might bite the bullet anyway soon.
The Air has a better LCD than the Macbook already. The viewing angle is on par with Macbook Pros, and it's the brightest of any of the family.

CPU: There are plenty of apps that utilize the CPU to the fullest on both the iPhone and WinMobile devices. Windows Mobile's own UI chokes half the time! That's a terrible argument. And @maveric -- it may be downclocked, but it's also two ARM architecture generations later, so it's a more efficient processor at 412MHz than the Vogue's running at 412MHz. When are we going to learn than MHz != speed anymore.

GPU: The GPU not being utilized makes it useless. If there are no drivers and it can't be used then its essentially nonexistant. And the GPU is used to make a smooth UI, something the Touch lacks greatly.

WiFi: Saying it has 3G/EVDO is a joke of an argument. If it had been the other way around, MS fanboys would be all over the iPhone for not having WiFi. Try downloading a 150MB app over 3G and you'll understand why WiFi is important.

GPS: The Vogue doesn't have a GPS. http://www.htc.com/www/product/touch/specification.html
@schmitty

You're kidding, right? iPhone vs HTC Vogue?!

CPU: iPhone, 620MHz. Vogue, 400MHz.
GPU: iPhone, yes. Vogue, no.
WiFi: iPhone, yes. Vogue, no.
Headphone jack: iPhone, yes. Vogue, no.
GPS: iPhone, yes. Vogue, no.
Usable Memory: iPhone, 7.4GB - 15.4GB. Vogue, ~150MB.
Screen: iPhone, 320x480. Vogue, 320x240.

The only thing I can see the Vogue has on the iPhone is a micro SD slot.

I know Apple haters like to exaggerate... but at least have SOME ground to stand on. Choose an HTC Touch Pro or something.
How big of a keyboard do you need? It's already plenty big.

The extra space on the sides is for the speakers, of which the 17" has twice as many as the 15".
The latest 15" has great speakers, so I imagine the new 17" will be even nicer.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"What's the best gaming laptop for under 1,500 bucks? I had my eye on the P7805u (Gateway), but it seems Best Buy has run out for the time being. Also, as a secondary question, I like the specs on brands such as iBUYPOWER and CyberPower and the like, but are they reliable? I'm a little worried about buying labels that aren't huge like Dell, Gateway, etc. Thanks!"
