On a side note, I like CES more than I like Christmas.
@flux73 Dirty hippie. lol

All kidding aside, I want utopia too. It just seems like whenever there is a possibility of convergence on the scale you've described, something mucks it up. As a commenter wrote when the pics of the bravo came out, "I'm rubbing my temples with the positive vibration necessary to bring this to fruition." I'm paraphrasing but you get the point.
I think the Dick estate's position is flaccid (couldn't resist), I don't remember any mention of a "NEXUS ONE" in the film or the book. Also the word "ONE" has a substantially different look to it as opposed to the hyphenated, numerical form in P.K. Dick's work. The name has associations with the film, but it's far from blatant. I'm stopping before I get into a tirade about our saturated legal system and sue happy society.
@cyclepipe With my clothes on, you vile dogs. lol
I'm doing my happy dance. :D
@Mr Edd Everyone is entitled to their opinion but I couldn't disagree more. An ugly brick? That is more of an accusation I would expect to be volleyed at the Droid and I like that phone too. :P Seriously though, it looks to have a nice curved body and I think you might change your mind once you hold it. Regardless, we won't have to wait long to find out.
Hot. Yes, the trackball is old hat but that could be a difference between the release device and the model being used for "testing" by Google employees.
Anyone doubting whether you keep your old discs, allow me to put your fears to rest. My experience is with Warner's Red2Blu HDDVD trade-in program and I couldn't be happier with the results. After I selected the titles I wanted to trade-in and completed the transaction on their website, I sent Warner the sleeves from the respective movies. In 2-3 weeks, I received a package with the Blu-Ray versions I'd chosen. The price paid for each trade-in was between 6-$15, depending on whether it was a single movie or a box set. I don't understand how could this be considered a bad deal?
My Droid is going back to Best Buy.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm looking for a wireless trackpad to use with my older (2.5 or so years old) C2D MacBook that's perpetually docked to my home theater. Something sleek, thin, not too small, made of high quality materials. Ideally, it would natively support all of (Snow) Leopard's multitouch inputs, and even more ideally, it would have a charging dock / base. The only problem is that I'm not sure that such a thing even exists. Think you can throw me a bone?"
