BOOOO NOKIA!~!!
I don't care if they're hosting or not, nokia is crap
After the Iran deal i'm never going nokia
soon as i read
"glory be, FireWire is back on everything but the Air."

I knew poster was Nilay, looked up and yup!
Interesting concept, but really?
The iran thing is really low... its shitty that engadget has to drop that low and feed that type of news
-100 for that part
+1 for the actual useful patent info
What channel, time?
Palm definitely doesn't deserve the hype its been getting lately, and I'm sad to see EnGadget play such a big part in this. Look, from what I've seen, i love the Pre, and i look forward to getting the phone. But at this stage, it really isn't a killer, right now i look "forward" to getting the phone in hopes of when its released, it'll have more to it than what i have seen.

It seems great so far don't get me wrong, but it isn't enough... Maybe i misinterpreted all this hype, but from what i see, everyone is hyped on the phone pulling palm out of a bad situation, and showing us something great and competitive, but that doesn't mean its instantly great. We know there is time ahead and hope, or believe it will be much better, more surprises etc. And if this is all palm has to offer, then they lost my buy...
Its still way too childish for my taste. They try to incorporate so much "adult" type stuff into a "kids" device, i just don't understand it.
I'd be more interested in something that charges on its own, not through power, because if there is power available, well why not just charge whatever i have? If i need more power, instead of putting money into this, there are lots of products that are able to use better batteries.
A crank stick would be nicer, charges with crank, then you got power!
When is Sony Ericsson ever going to jump in the world of more complication than what they are showing, show more complex things, multi-tasking multiple apps, more involvement, not just a little thing you carry along. That is my question
Yes i understand that, for contacts and emails thats fine, but for something like calendar, outlook or any other source won't figure out what your doing in your life, and one thing you carry with you the whole time, being the pre, should be your input source. Now inputing information into the pre in your calendar, how does it handle it? does it update every "source" there is, even though they aren't really a source...
I hope i'm making sense here, its bit early for me to think straight
These videos are missing a key point and i don't think they want to show it for a reason, i havn't seen a specific video that shows INPUT.
They all have data already entered and show the results and yes they seem very lovely.
I have fallen in love with this phone, but i don't want to end up getting it and find out that i have to haul ass to put all my info in the calendars he showing.

There has been too much showing what it looks like and how it reactions, but not much of how you would use it, they show one end and dont the other, so i hope more videos show up of actual usability like entering data, im sure it doesnt come with all the stuff from the getgo.
I might just have missed videos or information showing that, if so, someone point me in the right direction.

Thanks
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I just switched to Sprint from Verizon about three months ago for the Pre. Then I went for the Hero about a week ago. Now, I miss my hardware keyboard and am thinking about switching to the Moment. I am still able to switch back to Verizon if I want and get the Droid when it arrives. Should I just trade up to the Moment when it comes out, see if I like it, and if not switch to the Droid? Or something else entirely? Help!"
