i'm not a business user and i have the 8830. many other people have been able to obtain it as well. daniel is also correct about the pricing, it isn't really $399 with a two year contract.
If you buy a computer before a new OS comes out, when does apple start offering free upgrade coupons? Only 30 days? I'll be getting a new laptop in august, so I figure I'm out of luck...
to #5 --

i've heard from reliable alltel sources that the K1m was tested on fast-track testing which concluded last week. usually fast-track phones come out 4-5 weeks after testing finishes.

another reliable "all wireless talk" board member told me he's seen a mid - end of october release date for alltel.
to joe and david --

unless there is a CDMA version coming out (which there very well could be - i know nothing about this phone i've just seen the two posts on here recently), it won't be coming to sprint anytime soon.
with LGs:

AX - alltel
VX - verizon
UX - uscc

so what's this MX? metropcs? any ideas?
JMILLER -

the W375 isn't the same thing. it's just a low end moto that's supposed to be styled after the RAZR.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm in the market for a new phone and money isn't a limitation. I'm also not partial to any particular US carrier, but here are some of the features I'd like to have: WiFi, GPS, good coverage in lots of places, push Gmail (a must!), physical keyboard (a must!), a touchscreen, decent battery life and a relatively slim body. And please, nothing that has a fruit logo on it. No offense to the fruit fans, though. Thanks!"
