Google's Android 2.0 navigation app is PROPRIETARY and it relies on 3G data instead of being stored on the device.

Android is open-source, but the Google Experience Apps (maps, navigation, GMail, Android Market) are NOT!
No, because Google map navigation relies on Street View GPS data for cartography. Street View coverage is only significant enough in the US.

I have one. Its VERY buggy and takes ages to boot or transfer media, but it has potential
I own a Zii Egg, and if there are pics/video folders, browsing through them with the clothesline interface is much more interesting than just sliding the pics, as it adds depth to represent the directory structure
