My opinion is that $1000 is not expensive for the Q1. The diminutive size, bluetooth capability, 802.11g, make it ideal for the OTR driver. Laptops don't take well to constant jarring impacts especially in the hinges. Adittionally, laptop mounts for trucks are in the $300 range and are very bulky. The Q1 is clearly not intended to be one's primary pc, but is quite adequate in the roles for which it is suited.

"I'm in the market for a new laptop, and I want a 13-incher. I need something with a great keyboard for typing, as this will mostly be used for note taking in class. I am absolutely smitten with the XPS 13, but I'm afraid that with its age Dell is going to give it an update soon. Any advice for someone in my shoes?"
