In the end, I think its clear that google will push out more copies of its OS than apple. While not a huge apple fan my self, I have to applaud Jobs for causing a huge ripple in the Cell Phone industry. Maybe Motorola and Nokia and others were already heading in the direction of better UI, better input methods, ect, but Apple did cause them to speed things up. With the Android OS, there are alot of possibilities, but it will be up to the manufacturers to take that and turn it into something amazing, and for that, we have to take a wait and see approach. At least the bar has been raised.
Here is my take on this topic. I agree with what you say Amber. Discussing sex should never be considered a negative thing, and does not reflect your level of professionalism. Unfortunately, sex is having a bad rap. Like you said, the media loves to show all the negatives that involve sex and sexuality, but the minute someone tries to bring it up in a positive and constructive manner, they are shut out. Why this has happened requires more than one post to delve into, but it would make for a great discussion. Short answer based on my observation would be man and religion, but like I said, its more complicated than that.

The way I see it, we need more panels and conferences like yours, to educate people, and open their eyes. Sex does not have to be evil.
Hello, my name is farmok...and im a mid-core gamer.
Here is another thought on these numbers. Considering the ammount of people that are first time consol buyers, the untapped market nintendo is targeting. The would not feel the need to buy a second consol. They would probably stick with one and thats it. 360 owners though would fall into the more hardcore demographic and could see the potential of the wii giving them something different (although i'm sure there are many dissapointments there). The are the ones who buy multiple consols and probably don't want to throw $600 for one after spending $400. I'm also sure you would see the same from the PS3 crowd, except they don't have any more money left to spend.
While Halo does look good, and from what I hear, plays better than Halo 2, I wonder if it will move systems. I think the majority of the fans already picked up the system for the game. While it will sell well, I doubt it will push as many units as MS is hoping. But who knows, stranger things have happened.
How about Tomb Raider meets Indiana Jones?
Or how about the greatest nerd fest ever, Star Wars collides with Star Trek? (the enterprise could stumble into the Star Wars galaxy)
Or Saw meets Batman?
Gone in 60 Secs meets the Fast and Furious ("Gone Fast and Furious).
Microsoft is desperate to tie in anything to the zune to make it sell. I realy hope they don't charge extra for it, and throw in allot of extras. That would definitely give it an edge over the ipod.

Me, I'm not a big fan of special branded devices. I remember when the U2 Ipod came out and how lame it seemed. The same thing goes for this zune. How about you focus on making the zune worthwhile rather than trying to tie in franchises with your products.
You know what would be cool, if the revisisited some of their older sets, like Lego Blacktron, and Knights, and all those cool games. It would be interesting to see if they can develop a story for these sets rather than making spoofs off established franchises.
I think Gellar could do a great job, but I wonder if Maggie could do a better job. With Gellar in the equation, I would almost wonder if she would be better suited for the Dawes role.
I think this software is awsome. I'm drooling all over it, especially photshop and illustrator. If you haven't, go check out the deets on the software. I think its well worth the cost of entry. This is not meant to be for the everyday user, so of course they will not price it like that. These are realy powerful tools and I think are priced reasonably.

Think about it this way, everyone wants to drive a lamborghini, but it does not mean lambo should price their car to $30,000. At least we have an option to pay an upgrade price.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I've found myself using my PC for a lot of conversations lately, and I'm also considering recording a podcast to share with anyone who will listen. There are tons of USB headset / microphones out there, and I'm hoping someone has some solid recommendations based on experience. I'll consider both headsets and standalone mics, by the way, but I'd like to keep the bill under $100 if possible. Help!"
