Microsoft obviously still don't believe in hiring a designer.
I believe you need to purchase a license to transmit a WiMAX signal from your local regulator such as Ofcom, due to the fact WiMAX travels much further then traditional WiFi. Seeing as those licenses can cost anywhere from a couple of million and most spectrum is already currently purchased, I dont see it feasible.

You could always crank out a small ariel on your roof and hope Ofcom (or FCC if you live in US - har har) dont find out its a WiMAX antenna.
I feel sorry for the person who buys the £261 bottle of water. Wonder if they'll get arrested for that?
SDK is now up for grabs at developer.apple.com, though the site is currently down just as I was confirming my details :(

iPhone developer page is down for maintenance (when you try to sign in). SDK coming around the corner??
Lol at the peeps thinking Flash isn't on the handset because iPhone cant handle it. Flash Lite is on numerous phones with far lower specs than the iPhone, and Flash Lite 3 can play the majority of Flash 8 SWF's, so wheres the problem?

The problem is with Jobsy not wanting Flash to steal his Quicktime video streaming market. Just like with his "Java is a heavy-weight ball and chain" statement (which is poo as the majority of phones run off Java ME anayways!), he's leading the iPhone users to believe the iPhone cant handle Flash which is nonsense.

The only thing iPhone would miss by using Flash Lite 3 instead of the full AVM2 is that AS3 content wont be playable. Though surely AS1/2 is better than none? And as far as im aware Youtube and other video sites run off FP7/8 so theres no problem there.

Cant wait to start writing some Cocoa apps for the iPhone! Hopefully the SDK's released today.
If to look at the photo, they have moved safari from the iphone "dock" up to the main application selection area. Although I could of done that in MS Paint if I really wanted to..
£299.99
You need to remember, Google's CEO is on the Apple board. Why would one of them try to take sales from the other? Of course, Google's CEO will make more money if the device is sold directly from Google, but with the success of the iPod I am sure iPhone will sell more units than a Google phone and Google's CEO will profit from that.

Also, iPhone would of had a couple of months selling time before the "Google Phone" is expected to be released. Therefore Google Phone would loose out on all the people looking for a full touch screen phone. The only way Google Phone would succeed is if the cost of the device was far cheaper than iPhone - Giving consumers 3 phone options (Google Phone, iPhone Small and iPhone).

Time will tell.
The funny thing is that soon the title of this entry will be a real question if Google has their way.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I am looking for a device that will stream sound from one source to several recipients. For example, I want to stream sound from my TV or stereo to my phone or MP3 player that has radio and Bluetooth capabilities. I have looked into radio transmitters and they seem like a decent choice, but I can't find one that uses external power (USB or from the plug) and I would want one with a transmit range of around 50 meters. Thanks!"
