It's pretty simple... we spend $80K per person, per year on average for over 1% of the population top be incarcerated.... Many of those are not violent offenders. We release some of these individuals into workcenters/ counseling centers where they work on projects and earn the pay that keeps them housed until they can be released. Some need to be released on Parole in the case of Marijuana possesion.
We legalize Marijuana and tax it. We take the money from this tax and from the savings of released convicts and we pay off portions of our national debt and the rest we roll into public schools. We pay more for good teachers, release the bad ones and hire great ones. Spend money to educate our kids. I could go on and on with some of this.
The reason Taiwan isn't their is because it is NOT PART OF CHINA! What communist freak did this write up.
