Am I the only one that can see this thing on a column at the airport? Internet access for 2.95/min.

I'm not saying it'll make lots of money, but that's the application that I keep seeing when I look at this.
Maybe I've missed it; I admit, I just skimmed the read links. Are these computers primarily for use with Mobile Broadband? I can't find mention of a wireless carrier. I guess you buy the hardware yourself. That's just as well, though. A little less entanglement between hardware and services would be a good thing.
As the proud father of a 7mo old son, I can tell you (I kid you not) that there are test strips to check expressed milk for alcohol. So, if you are ok walking through the nursing section of your local Babies R Us, you can pick up a couple of packs.
And I thought only comments got double-posted...
If this is so good, I want to see the IEEE standard 330 iterations ago.
um...no...

Eyes reading faster than my brain...

(oops)

"Tail end" works just fine. "Tale" would have been right had it been alone.
Ok, throw the "English Language Fanboy" flames, or call me homophobic for my fear of improperly used homophones, but that should probably be "tale".
You know, BC is great, but it does leave us all in the lurch with the port's symmetry problems. As long as they make them backward compatible, they can't ever change the shape of the port.

Well, that's not true entirely. They could enlarge the port in some way to provide asymmetry, and previous generation plugs would still fit, but I would think that would make for loose connections when using older generation plugs.

Now, if they decide to drop backwards compatibility, they could change the shape slightly to make it impossible to jam a plug in upside down...
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"What's the best gaming laptop for under 1,500 bucks? I had my eye on the P7805u (Gateway), but it seems Best Buy has run out for the time being. Also, as a secondary question, I like the specs on brands such as iBUYPOWER and CyberPower and the like, but are they reliable? I'm a little worried about buying labels that aren't huge like Dell, Gateway, etc. Thanks!"
