You are paying for the fancy OLED screen really, and of course the Sony tax.
42LH50 is available now, at Best Buy.
I think this is a good option for those who may only want to use this while on a vacation, or traveling on the road where wifi spots are harder to find, or not as convenient. I could use storm chasers taking advantage of this, since they only need this service in the spring and summer, and don't want a monthly contract for months they won't use it. I think it could come in handy, but I don't like the price of the dongle itself, and the fact the minutes expire after 30 days. Again though ,depending on how you and when you use your laptop on the go, this could be very useful.

But hey, Virgin is the first to offer this, and this could create enough competition to lower broadband prices overall.
Darren, you can't see the extra 1080p pixels on a tv of that size, so why would they even bother to make the TV 1080p? So they can sell it to uneducated people saying 1080p is way better then 720p on a tiny screen?

Sometimes I wonder if you ever learn anything working over there..
Unlike Stewart though, Robby doesn't get top engines from Hendrick ,and share information amongst all the Hendrick race teams. While Stewart has his name listed as owner, he would be struggling without the help of powerful Hendrick motors he leases. Robby likes to do things his own way and is very stubborn, otherwise he could probably have similar equipment.
I still am an original owner of the A100, and have always been happy with my SLR. I was hoping the next round of SLR's would introduce a new version of the a700 series, I've wanted to upgrade for awhile but never took the plunge.
No way I see Samsung allowing Panasonic, Toshiba, and others beat them to shipping out the first large screen OLED's. If Panasonic has one ready for 2010, then Samsung won't be too far behind, if not beat them to the market. OLED will be the next future market, and all the big tv manufacturers are going to want to own the market share before any other.
The positive thing for other manufacturers of tv's is once all these crappy tv's break on people, or they realize how vastly superior their next door neighbors Panasonic plasma or Samsung B550 is, they'll be back soon to replace their Vizio, most likely with a quality name brand.

I'm surprised Best Buy still refuses to carry Vizio, which everyone asks for there. Them holding out must mean their own generics Dynex and Insignia must be rolling in the cash just like Vizio is experiencing from selling through other channels.
If my cable company Mediacom offered an upgrade from their regular DVR service and equipment to a Tivo designed cable box for a couple extra dollars a month, I'd be all over that. Right now, getting a Tivo with cable is a costly decision, and not worth the battle with cablecards and support.
This is actually a surprisingly good turnaround for Samsung, I didn't expect them to suddenly make a profit after that horrible last quarter. Their products seem to still fly off the shelves, their tv's and phones are as popular as ever. Nice job Samsung, now lets get those OLED displays released now that you got some breathing room in the market to work with!
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I own an iPhone 3G and I'm looking for a decent speaker / alarm clock for it. I am going to listen music in a mid-sized room, so I want nice quality speakers with solid bass. I also want to use it as an alarm clock, so it would be great if there is such a feature. The price can be low-mid to mid-high range. I was looking at the Klipsch iGroove SXT; it's powerful, slick and the reviews are good, but it doesn't have an alarm clock feature. It's no deal breaker if I can set it up from the iPhone, but I'm not sure. Thanks!"
