They're in the studio monitor series, right around ~100 USD.
Sound great, but could use a headphone amp with an iPod or cheap PC soundcard.
I can't see them actually getting shut down. It's probably the last thing NTP wants. If RIM were to shut down, NTP would be left holding onto a patent and having nothing but the smugness in knowing they won. RIM will settle or roll out their work around, and I'll still get my email in a reasonable amount of time.
If you want your laptop to be secure, keep it with you. No $20-40 device is going to work worth a damn.
I'm not sure why Google's site says T-mobile doesn't work. It works fine on my 7105t. Just make sure the APN is set up correctly in Settings -> TCP
Photography is commonly used as a form of communication, but camera phones require the business to give up some of their perceived security. If you work in an area with a lot of documents or "secret" projects, the big corporations should be concerned about any device that can take a picture and send it offsite on the sly.
