They only bought a COPY of thepiratebay, and the domain name. I suppose others can buy a copy too. Or maybe TPB guys launches thepiratebay2.org with the same software and database ;)
All of us at work hates the pavilion dv machines. We are still running XP and we hate when people come with nonstandard (the standard beeing the elitebooks) machines.... pavilion has so much crap on them you have to reinstall - and XP drivers are non existant on HP's page... so you'll have to Google a lot.
The Model S will be very affordable here in Norway. Costing less than a Toyota Avensis. Eletric cars are not taxed here, get free passes on toll roads, can park at the entrance at IKEA and other larger stores and can drive in bus/taxi lanes :)

I want one! There are quite a few electric car workshops here. Many people have bought extra eletric peugots (modded 106s) just to use the bus/taxi lane to work. I hope Obama grants Tesla money/a cheap loan so they can start manufacturing and hopefully get the cars on the road before 2011.
Doesn't take credit/debit cards. Doesn't accept online payment systems. Does not play jingles while vending. Slow (not Japanese ones though). Do not have a network connection so they may report when empty. Not cold enough. Not ecofriendly. I have a lot of things on my wishlist.
Great for a small, power saving firewall (pfSense, IPCop, Smoothwall etc.)
David: The cost would be the same in some countries where the fees are only added to gasoline/gas powered vehicles. The Tesla is 100% electric. Fees on some cars are 50% here in Norway.
Very nice, I have been wanting one of those VPL-VW projectors to replace my aging SP4805. My budget is around $3500, but I'm guessing thos will be a tad more than that. Gotta start saving up :)
Why the China look and not the European look? The European looks sharper (and has the take/hang up buttons on top, instead of bottom)
The US patent system is not good, but I think joe is on to something. I hate when I press page down in a PDF or XPS document and only get one screen down, not page.
Ah, TOP section! Ok, gotta learn to read.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I just moved into a new apartment and have been reading about all of the new power strips out there, especially the green ones. I was wondering if you had any suggestions about which "green "power strips are out there with decent joules ratings. And when I say green, I mean power strips that have the remotes or switches to turn off all electricity flowing to certain plugs and with at least 2 plugs that are always on. I was looking specifically at sub $50 because I will need two, but if that is not possible I could be convinced otherwise. Thanks!"
