"look at how bad the music business is now" - what are you talking about you nutter? P2P has affected the music industry how?
I know there is always someone coming up with stats that fight for piracy but one I've hard and believe is that the film business is actually benefiting from P2P movie downloads as a large proportion of people who download will then actually go and see the movie at the cinema and even buy the DVD/BluRay which they would never have done if they hadn't been able to download and watch it in the first place!
Depending on how good it is I don't think it ever will!?
If done well these things can be truly amazing and of course if it's relatively cheap to produce then it's another thing that manufactures can use to hook you in.
I have watched some old school 3D films on my projector and at 80" plus even that stuff is great so as screens get bigger and better I can't see this technology disappearing any time soon.
So will the SPDIF give you true surround sound output?
I have a laptop with a USB soundcard that then outputs the audio via SPDIF to a THX 5.1 system at the moment (the video goes to a projector) so I presume that this will just plug straight into the surround sound system?
"I'm looking for a solid state drive, around 32 to 64GB, for use in my web server. The drive will contain my web sites and the operating system, either Windows Server 2008 R2 or Ubuntu. Large storage is handled by a separate RAID array, so capacity is not an issue. Rather, I am looking for the fastest, longest-lasting, and most reliable drive under $150 that is suitable to my application. Any thoughts? Thanks!"
