So, basically this is Google's version of "SplashTop".
This is an excellent idea. Too bad too many people are unable to separate the functionality of Twitter and how Twitter is being used (as is evident by the posts here).

I can see TwitterPeek being used for stock quotes, weather, news, etc. The only downside is the $200 pricetag for "lifetime". Not too bad if lifetime=5 years. But if lifetime=10 months.... ouch.
Not in this case. This is not related to mistagged tracks. This has been confirmed (by Microsoft) to happen with tracks that are correctly tagged.
There is room for doubt because in the past there have been firmware issues that have gone unresolved. Actually, there are some (like video description scrolling bug) that remain unfixed for the non-HD Zune devices for 2 years.
Things that I would change:
* Add sleep timer.
* Add on-device support for Smart DJ. (rather than creating a SmartDJ playlist and sync it)
* Add on-device playlist creation.
* Add customizable EQ.
* Add support for on-device html files. (handy ebook/reference)
* Give everyone who purchased the gimped out HD AV dock a freebie for putting up with the completely stupid design of what works and doesn't when the HD is docked.
Chrome is NOT faster than Firefox+adBlock for pages and sites with ads.
I love my Vaio NW. Can't stand Chrome. I promptly removed it (and google updater that comes with it). Without plugins (especially ad blockers) Chrome is less useful and slower than Firefox 3.x.
We really won't be able to tell until both devices are released. But based on the incomplete information at this time, the Zii EGG looks to be more appealing. Ability to use SD cards and not being tied to a particular sync software will be welcomed differentiators. And if Creative is true to their history, the Zii EGG will support a wider range of codecs than the ZuneHD.
It is a shame that the PS3 slim will not have the features of the older high-end models... PS2 BC (software or hardware), 4 USB ports, and media card reader are very handy.
I just picked this one up (in bronze) to replace my fine Toshiba a305. I LIKE the wood-grain texture! And it matches my G1. Every surface of the a305 is highly glossy and very annoying. The VAIO NW has a nice clean look to it that I really appreciate.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I commonly need to boot a system from an external disc and take a snapshot of the host system. I also then need to burn a copy of the image to a DVD. While I can do it with two separate external devices, and two power supplies, and two I/O cables, it'd be nice to find a small dual-drive enclosure. It would need to have USB, eSATA, and FireWire. Either slim-line or half-height bay for the optical burner would be fine, and space for either a 2.5- or 3.5-inch hard disc. Any ideas?"
