May 15th 2008 8:16PM Heading to college next year. I use a Sony Vaio SZ4 as my only computer, which sounds perfect based on what you guys are saying in comments... 13.3inch screen, 4 pounds, NVidia graphics card (which can switch to intel gfx to save power), and the good ol' core2duo processor.
On my desk sits a 500gb external harddrive for media, and a 24" screen for movies games and otherwise. I also have the logitech VX nano mouse which I take with me along with my laptop. The receiver barely protrudes from the laptop, so you can just leave it plugged in your bag. Highly recommended.
If you guys are planning to add on some external components to make your laptop easier to use on your desktop, definitely wait until Black Friday before going all out... Last year I scored my LCD for $150 and HDD for $100

Xperia, garbage? Honestly, what more could you want from a phone? It may not be your cup of tea but with stats like it has, you'd be ignorant to call it garbage. Furthermore it's a legitimate smartphone that does not need to be hacked to do what you want it to do.
