@DestrictoEnse Yes, I do realize that the Droid had plenty of hype. But when you put "Google Phone" behind Nexus One, everyone assumes this phone is the be all end all. And being unlocked is a plus, but so is the Milestone(although it won't work with at&t 3G bands so I can't use it). As I see it, this is still just a dev phone until it officially comes out. But the reason for my dislike for this phone is how people treat it as if its the ONLY good Android phone when there are plenty of others just as good, if not better.(X10, Droid, Acer Liquid, etc.).
@TechCrunch & gonintendo

True the keyboard may not be the best, but once you get used it to you seem to forget the frustrations.

Snap Dragon and OMAP3 are both cortex A8 based, so you shouldn't really notice anything mind blowingly superior when comparing SD to OMAP3. AMOLED, I'll let you get that one. But seeing how the Droid's screen, its still competitive with OLED. And its made by HTC? IMO, a brand making a phone should never be a plus nor negative. Buying phones with branding bias will only leave you in the same boat as Apple-Fans.
Exactly what makes the Nexus One better than the Droid aside from the OLED screen? I'd say they're in the same league, except the Nexus One has way more hype.
I really want the Droid, but I heavily rely on at&t's Rollback minutes and their fast 3G speeds. Again, when did Telus say they were releasing the MileStone?
@robertlibert I beg to differ. It may have Snap Dragon, but that doesn't mean it will be clocked to exactly 1 Ghz. I'm not trying to be a defensive Droid fan(I don't even own one, but I really want one) but aside from the overrated Snap Dragon Processor and the OLED screen, this device is no better than the Droid. And the OMAP CPU in the droid can match with an 800mhz cpu. More Mhz doesn't it will be fast. I don't hate HTC, but I hate it when people look at this phone and act like its the only one of its kind and all the other phones are a POS. Sure the Droid was hyped, but the hype on this phone is beyond what I've seen for the iPhone when it first came out. The more this phone is hyped, the higher the expectation, and the higher the expectation the higher the disappointment.

~From a Business man.
Quite impressed. I didn't expect Acer to make phones but I guess everybody's jumping in the business now. I'm glad Android is expanding, and with the Droid being Time's Gadget of the Year, that will mean Android will get a larger push in 2010. But man, after seeing all those hate comments from Apple Lover sites like CultOfMac, I can feel the hate. I've never seen such a biased site before. Just read the comments there, I dare ya.
Please, oh please tell this phone doesn't have that shitty Qualcomm processor.
@Jeff I'm up for one. Kind of disappointed to say the least though. I've always wanted an Android flip in a RAZR3/Klassic body but with a 3' and WVGA screen without being huge like those Japanese phones. I suppose some dreams just don't happen. Back to the topic, why must they always go with the friggin' Qualcomm processors!? You would think that Moto would start putting quality processors ever since they introduced the Droid.
@qrius You know, I'm starting to loathe Snap Dragon now. Why you may ask? Simply because people just don't get it: Clock Speed DOES NOT DETERMINE SPEED.
I've tried the keyboard, and it typed pretty good. Though it is a bit too squished. But I don't see this doing as well anymore considering the droid is coming out. Though, I wish this had a larger screen and faster processor. Looks like a great gaming phone.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"For a long time I have been searching for a portable device where I can store all of my CDs in MP3 format and stream the songs wirelessly to my HiFi system. The portable device must I've tried FM transmitters, they all suck. I don't want a docking station. Any help? Thanks!" have a display so that I easily can scroll through the playlists (I don't want to use a TV or monitor). I suppose that there must also be a second device that is connected to the HiFi system that would receive the wireless streams from the portable device.
