Says someone calling themselves "Bad Beaver"...
I, for one, welcome our terrifying, white-skulled robotic overlords. No, really I do!
Yeah... I got my hands on a very much preview model a month or so ago. I work for one of the big carriers in the UK and we had one at our internal handset launch roadshow. Personally I think it sucked badly, and I carry around a HTC Universal on a daily basis (!)

On the preview one, the keyboard was already broken, and the screen displayed at such a crap resolution, it was like looking at a child's toy.

Considering I'm swapping the Universal for the Samsung i600 when its out in Europe because I've already switched to an Asus R2H for portable browsing, email and MSN use, I think the days for the Athena are numbered even before it is released.
Not even worth doing an "I, for one..."

I think we've all learnt what artard's password used to be, though. Must be so easy to type it in the "comments" box instead of the "password" one, eh?
As soon as someone brings out a version which will retransmit (HD?) video as well as audio by this method, I'll be very very interested. I'd like to hook my HD Sky+, Xbox360, Media Centre PC and whatever else into a Surround Sound amp - take an output to the TV in my lounge, but also take an output into a box of tricks like this and pipe it to any other room (audio and video). I can already do SD video using coax cable, but I'm limited to where I can get the cable fed to, and limited in picture and audio quality. In this day and age I should be able to output 5.1 surround and HD video and distribute it around my house! I don't care that the coax cable is used as a return feed for the Sky+ remote to work, as a powerful enough RF remote control would get around that quite effectively...

Anyone know anything on the market or due on the market shortly?
I, for one, welcome our email reading mini-robotic overlords.
I, for one, welcome our kitten-toting, fume spewing overlords.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I just switched to Sprint from Verizon about three months ago for the Pre. Then I went for the Hero about a week ago. Now, I miss my hardware keyboard and am thinking about switching to the Moment. I am still able to switch back to Verizon if I want and get the Droid when it arrives. Should I just trade up to the Moment when it comes out, see if I like it, and if not switch to the Droid? Or something else entirely? Help!"
