i bought an iphone but avoided activating it until the following Monday night because it was a gift. so i did not make it into the 146,000 number. yet i paid apple money for the device on launch day.
Why would wireless song syncing be so ideal? In theory you would still have to plug it in to either the wall or your computer to charge the device. If you are still plugging it in to your computer than why is wireless sync a feature? Also you would probably still have to eject the device from the computer (if you are using it in a manner consistent with that requirement). Overall it seems like a slower and less functional idea for song syncing than even the other uses for a wireless DAP.

Of course do not misunderstand me I do believe an iPod in 2007 will have such capability.
Quicklook has been in Leopard Developer Previews since WWDC Day 1 and is even mentioned in the Mac OS X Leopard Spotlight Page as an extension to Spotlight...

The inside of this machine is so poorly designed compared to the Mac Pro.
Parallels announced 100,000 beta users!!
That shows strong sales in Intel Macs.
Intel announced this at the WWDC as well.
I agree with the last post. I too worked for Apple retail, and to call that blogger jaded is unfair. He is put through a rigor that you would never expect from GAP or Sears, Apple retail is the Nordstroms of computer sales, except they don't reward you as well for your work. I sold half a million dollars worth of merchandise for my store in 9 months, and I never got a bonus or any sort of extra pay. Apple does not pay commission but they still threaten to terminate you based on sales performance and what you can sell with a computer. That is fine except there is no reward for doing well, so they motivate you out of fear, you will lose your job. On top of all of that, the retail enviroment turns the best of us against our fellow man. So cut him some slack. P.S. Just so you know once you don't work for Apple the magic defiantly comes back, while I was there I started to loathe seeing my computer at home. I am back to full Mac love though.
I doubt it, Steve Jobs said new Macs shipping with Intel chips BY June '06, we will see first half of next year announcements. Possibly as early as January.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm heading to university next year, and I've purchased a MacBook. I'm also taking my four year old desktop, just in case I'm left with no computers when the MacBook is being repaired or whatnot. With only two USB ports on a MacBook, I want a Bluetooth mouse. Budget is about $100, and of course, it needs OS X support. Thanks for the help!"
