The big problem is that they use this web crap as base for applications and that just sucks if you want to make anything better than what your browser is capable.
Hecks, old Symbian S60 FP1 devices without GPU can run Quake 1 butter smooth. Quake 3 wasn't a problem for N95 or N82 either (since they have GPU).
Maybe this is the first Symbian^2 device?
It's a bit sad that you have to hack a phone in order to make it tether. I have been able to do tethering over WLAN for some time now using my Nokia N80 (let alone USB, Bluetooth and IRDA).
Mitä hemmettiä?

"Matti" definitely is not native Finnish speaker but the woman in the end is.
Symbian goes strong in Japan, that's not going to change. Sharp's and Fujitsu's Symbian phones are just stuffed features that I'm not quite sure how they do that. Sadly they use MOAPS on top of Symbian but that's going to change in the future.
Not as fast as Samsung HD103SJ.
Also, I have hard time thinking why Apple is claiming that Nokia is copying iPhone. S60 5th edition is just 3th edition with touch and they can't be whining about Maemo, that's old open source platform. Well, so is Symbian.
I see what's going to happen. Apple pays xx million (a nominal fee) to Nokia and both agree about cross-licensing terms.
@Endadget
Yeah, what the.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I just switched to Sprint from Verizon about three months ago for the Pre. Then I went for the Hero about a week ago. Now, I miss my hardware keyboard and am thinking about switching to the Moment. I am still able to switch back to Verizon if I want and get the Droid when it arrives. Should I just trade up to the Moment when it comes out, see if I like it, and if not switch to the Droid? Or something else entirely? Help!"
