Nice.

But in a sort of naughty way.
Battlefield: Earth sucked.
What hits the floor just after the Rubik's Cube? Is that a silicone implant?
I think it's hilarious that you guys rail against the high price of the game, yet there's a link to add the game to your queue at the bottom of the article.
Maybe you haven't seen any of the behind-the-scenes videos for Uncharted or Uncharted 2, where the voice actors do all of the motion capture work. . . most games don't have the actors do everything -- yet -- but the industry is changing.
I'm so glad I'm not the only one who is disgusted by Variety's use of "industry" jargon. They use made-up words like "skedded" for "scheduled", "prexy" for "president" and "The Alphabet" for the ABC Network. That kind of unnecessary crap drives me nuts.
Normally, a "pre-vis" is just a video that represents what the developers want the gameplay to look like.

You don't usually hear the term "pre-vis" used in game development; it's normally used in the motion picture industry as sort of a "moving storyboards".

My guess is that it's probably pre-rendered and not being rendered on-the-fly in an early game engine, but I could be wrong.
Not a PS3 *on* the beach. A PS3 *at* the beach. We stay in a beach house for a week. Luckily, the beach house had 42-inch LCD TVs. :)
My wife liked to watch me play the original Uncharted. And when it took the PS3 to the beach on her yearly family beach trip, I had an audience of 3-4 people watching me play. They were all amazed at how "movie-like" the game was.
I'm going to be celebrating Rocktober with Brutal Legend and Uncharted 2. How could Rocktober be better? I submit that it could not.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I just moved into a new apartment and have been reading about all of the new power strips out there, especially the green ones. I was wondering if you had any suggestions about which "green "power strips are out there with decent joules ratings. And when I say green, I mean power strips that have the remotes or switches to turn off all electricity flowing to certain plugs and with at least 2 plugs that are always on. I was looking specifically at sub $50 because I will need two, but if that is not possible I could be convinced otherwise. Thanks!"
